After Vincent's little surprise, he drove us back to the complex.

When we had arrived, I offered him a small, emotionless smile and left the car before he could speak.

I darted up the stairs and only stopped when I had reached my apartment.

Fumbling with my keys, I finally unlocked the door and pushed my way inside. Shutting the door, I leaned against it and hurriedly tried to calm my breathing.

"How was the date?" Mother asked excitedly while Dad sipped on his drink with a neutral facial expression.

I jumped as I hadn't realized that they were watching me. Awkwardly, I pulled my shoes off and slipped my cross-body bag off my shoulder.

"Uh, it was good," I replied as nonchalantly as possible, trying to avoid any more questions. However, my response only drew in more questions.

"Where'd the boy take you?" Dad asked, slowly taking another sip of his drink.

"We went to Peach Cove point and the spring carnival," I explained, taking small steps to my bedroom.

"Anything happen?"

I stopped in my tracks and turned around with wide eyes. "What?! No! Of course not!" I panically responded, waving my hands.

"Then why are you acting like that?" Mother asked with a confused look. Dad smirked and continuously drank his drink.

Pretending to look at the time on my watch, I gasped.

"Look, it's ten o'clock! I should go to bed because I'm tired, so you guys should go to bed too. Especially you Dad. You've got work in the morning. Alright, goodnight!" I franticly said and rushed to my room.

From my room I heard Dad laughing and Mother asking him what was so funny.

The following morning, Mother took me back to the hospital to check up on my arm and stitches.

Washing my face seemed impossible that morning, as every time my hand brushed against my lips, all I could think about was the kiss I shared with Vincent.

When we arrived at the hospital, we were immediately escorted to a room where X-Rays of my arm were taken. Soon after, we were led to a small white room where we were told Dr. Hensley would meet us soon.

As promised, soon after, Dr. Hensley entered the room where we exchanged simple greetings. Immediately after, she got right down to business.

"Alright, your stitches can be snipped off and from the looks of your X-Rays, you don't have to keep your arm in a sling anymore. However,we'll keep you in a cast for, approximately, 2 more weeks," Dr. Hensley stated as quickly as ever, while she looked through a clipboard of papers.

Mother and I nodded as she stood from her seat and informed us that a nurse would be here shortly to take out my stitches.

After a long 10 minutes a young and handsome male nurse strutted into the room happily.

He possessed silky blonde hair and a light, beautiful tan. His eyes were a gorgeous deep green, engulfed by long lashes.

"Hello, I'm nurse Jackson. I'll be removing your stitches for you today. Could you show me where they are?" Mother and I continued to gawk.

Slowly, I turned my elbow over and showed him the stitches. He carefully held my arm and began snipping away the string.

"How'd this happen?" He asked, still cutting away.
