When had she ever tried to seduce Bai Lihang?

Luo Liyan cautiously raised her head, offering a placating smile to the man whose expression was far from pleasant.

"If I told you that I have no idea what happened, that I woke up to find myself already in my own bed, you'd believe me, right?" she ventured.

"Do you take me for a fool?" Bai Lihang scoffed, a smirk tugging at his lips.

"You might want to think carefully about whether you want to come clean. If I don't get the answers I'm looking for, then you'll be stuck here indefinitely."

"Why should I? This is illegal detention!" Luo Liyan snapped back without thinking.

Seeing her bristle like a little wild animal, Bai Lihang suddenly felt a playful urge to tease her.

He bent down, placing his hands on the back of the sofa, trapping Luo Liyan between the couch and his chest, his demeanor overwhelmingly aggressive.

"Hit-and-run carries a detention sentence. You can choose to stay here with me or spend some time in prison."

"I..." Luo Liyan's face flushed slightly.

The pleasant scent of Bai Lihang filled her nose, causing her heart to race like a deer.

"So, have you made up your mind?" Bai Lihang asked softly.

His deep, husky voice was like a tempting whisper from Pandora's box, luring her to throw caution to the wind and fall into the abyss with him.

"I'm only giving you this one chance to speak. Think carefully before you give me an answer."

Luo Liyan felt as if she were floating, her mind hazy and unfocused.

"Alright, I'll stay with you," she finally murmured.

Hearing the answer he wanted, a gleam flashed in Bai Lihang's dark, brooding eyes. He reached out and gently ruffled her soft hair.

"Good girl."

Good, my foot!

Now fully aware of what had just happened, Luo Liyan glared resentfully at Bai Lihang, who looked somewhat smug.

How naive of him. What's the point of keeping her around? Even if he watched her every move, she could vanish into thin air whenever she wanted.

Silently grumbling to herself, Luo Liyan noticed his gentle expression turning cold again.

Standing up and releasing her from his grasp, Bai Lihang pulled out his vibrating phone from his pocket.

"Speak."

"..."

"Alright, I'll be down in a moment."

After ending the call, Bai Lihang looked at the little woman curled up on the sofa, who was now smiling sweetly and waving at him.

"Since you have work to do, you should go ahead. I promise I'll stay here and wait for you to come back."

Did she really think she could get rid of him that easily?

A cold smile tugged at Bai Lihang's lips as he suddenly grabbed Luo Liyan and hauled her off the sofa.

"You're coming with me. Weren't you here to secure the ad campaign for the next six months? I'll give you the chance to pitch it yourself."

"Hey, isn't this a bit of a conflict of interest?" Luo Liyan protested, trying to resist.

But her efforts were futile, and she was forcibly dragged into Bai Lihang's office on the top floor of Bai Corporation.
