"So, Howard, what are you doing on the Lucania?" I asked, changing the subject. "Well, I'm here with a new master of mine, Duke Francouer Gares and his wife Lady Marie Gares. They are headed to the kingdom of Bengal to propose a trading deal on behalf of King Gerald and Queen Lucia of Heartia." Howard explained. The kingdom of Heartia... the name sounds familiar, but where from? I dismissed the thought and turned back to Howard.

"Something on your mind, Y/n?" Howard asked, cocking his head to the side. I flinched at his accusation. "It's just... the kingdom sounds familiar, is all." I defended, looking down and fiddling with my hands. "How about I introduce you to them?" Howard offered. My head jolted up in surprise. "Would you really?" I asked, shocked that Howard would be able to.

"Of course. After all, there's a party going on downstairs. Perfect chance to get to know new people." Howard held his arm out for me. I hooked my arm with his and gestured for Sebastian to follow. Sebastian nodded and Howie walked us to the dinner party below the deck of the boat.

Classical music filled my ears and all different types of fabrics, colors, people of royalty, people of nobility, and others filled my eyes. A long and grand table filled with different foods and sweets ran along the side of the ballroom. This truly was a grand event. Howie continued walking through the crowd. As we walked through the crowd, I couldn't help but feel as if all eyes were on me. I kept my head high as Howie stopped in front of who I could only guess to be Duke Gares and his wife.

"My Lord and Lady, allow me to introduce a dear friend of mine, Her Majesty Queen Y/n Kima of Lategia." Howie unhooked his arm from mine as the two nobles bowed and curtsied. "Your Majesty." They said in unison before rising. "Good evening to you both." I smiled in return.Duke Gares was a bit on the shorter side from others I have met, although having a few inches above me.

As the nobles stood up straight, I noticed Lady Gares shift her weight to her left leg, making her just a bit shorter than the Duke. 'Might he be insecure about his height?' I wondered to myself. I quickly dismissed the thought when Duke Gares opened his mouth to finally speak. "Might I ask your reasoning to be on this grand boat, Your Majesty?" Duke Gares inquiried, holding his hands behind his back.

"I'm headed to the Kingdom of Bengal as well. I have some personal affairs to attend to." First rule of being a royal, never disclose personal information to strangers. The couple nodded, though they clearly noticed my hostility and didn't barge any further. I took a sudden glance around the underwater ballroom once more when I noticed Sebastian had left my side. Along with Howie being nowhere in sight. 'Of all times, Mittens.' I sighed and turned back to the noble couple. "Excuse me while I go find my butler." Duke Gares bowed while his wife curtsied understandingly.

I walked off to the side of the underwater ballroom, looking around for Sebastian. I truly thought this would be easier. With how long I've known Sebastian, you'd think he'd be the first person I spotted. I quickly grew tired of looking and held back every urge in my body to lean against a nearby pillar and take a nap. I took a glass of red wine from a passing servant and took a sip. The wine had a bittersweet taste. It would pair well with a sweet cake. "Exhausted already, Howard?" Sebastian's voice. What are those two doing?

I quickly set down my glass of wine and rushed above deck. The wind blew strong as the rain poured, immediately drenching me. I held my hand over my eyes to block the rain. In return, I got a bit of a clearer view of the boat. I saw Sebastian and Howard standing at a distance from each other. "You truly haven't changed; it disgusts me." I heard Howard say. "I could say the same for you. Still pathetic, even with your immortality." Sebastian scoffed. His suit nor his body held a single scratch or tear.

Howard on the other hand looked exhausted, his hair disheveled. "I *will* kill you!" Howard declared, lunging at Sebastian. As the two made contact, lightning flashed. I looked up at the sky in fear. I had always hated thunder and lightning. The flash and the sounds didn't bother the other demons, just as I thought. The two continued striking each other, surprisingly using their fists, instead of weapons, how curious.

I heard voices from nearby and panicked. I rushed to the opposing side of the boat and hid. "Oh, My Lord! Such a jokester, you are!" I heard two women and a man laughing. "Oh my, it's raining so hard!" The other woman remarked. "Back inside, ladies. I would feel horribly if I was at fault for you both catching colds." The man insisted as they all laughed and walked back into the dry confines of the boat.

**BOOM**

Another clap of thunder and flash of lightning. I looked back towards Howie and Sebastian, but Sebastian was nowhere to be seen. Or rather, he wasn't Sebastian. A tall, ghastly figure stood where he once was. Red eyes that shone like Hellfire themselves. This was Sebastian's true form? I felt my heart rate quicken immensely and I stepped back in fear, my eyes wide. Those big, red eyes stared Howard down like he was Sebastian's prey. I felt the need... no. I wanted to run. As far away from Sebastian as I could. I can't even tell if that is him.

I stood frozen in place as the two fought endlessly. Every part of my body was at war. Should I run? Should I pull them apart? Should I save myself? I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a thud against the deck of the boat. Howard lifted himself up, coughing up blood. Sebastian- If I should even call him that- laughed at his ruined state and walked up to him. "You will always be weak." Sebastian's voice echoed.

He shortened himself back to his human form and stepped on Howard's back, causing him to scream out in pain. "If you ever need reminding, you know where to find me. I'd be glad to reeducate you." I took another step back, but didn't watch where I stepped. I tumbled into a pile of cargo after tripping over a small box. I winced as my bottom came into harsh contact with the floor. I immediately looked up, worried that I might've been figured out. The demon's eyes darted towards me and my eyes widened further. My hand clenched the chest of my fully soaked gown and my breathing grew heavier as Sebastian changed back to his demon form and slowly came closer to me. I stood up and turned around to walk away.

"Y/n," Sebastian's voice stopped me dead in my tracks. I slowly turned around to face Sebastian in his human form, his eyes wide and soft with concern. "What are you doing in this rain? You could catch a-" Sebastian reached his hand out to touch me and I stepped back, still overwhelmed with shock and fear. Sebastian's expression softened he slowly lowered his hand.

"My Queen!" I turned to where the voice came from as Sebastian disappeared. "What are you doing out in this storm? You've probably caught a cold by now." Duke Gares. How did he know I was here? "Come back inside, Your Majesty." In a daze, I followed behind the duke. I went to my room and washed myself up before changing into a nightgown and laying in bed. I had wished to sleep peacefully tonight, but the truth was inevitable. I hadn't recieved a wink of sleep that entire night.

But at the same time, how could I have?! Seeing Sebastian like that... to think he's been like that the entire time I've known him. He could easily kill me whenever he wanted to. 'But he hasn't. Stop overreacting.' Just because he hasn't doesn't mean he won't! I've seen just how pissed off he gets. It's the scariest thing I've ever seen! 'Just give him a chance. You act like you haven't known the bastard your entire life.' Now that I can't argue with. Maybe I should talk to him tomorrow. 'I don't even get why you're so scared! You're a demon, as well, you idiot!' Is it possible that I've hurt my own feelings?
