No ones pov

Slytherin common room {Time midnight}

The fire crackled in the hearth as the wood that was freshly tossed in it burned away. His eyes locked on the dancing flames as they swirled and ate at the logs. his mind absent while he twirled his fingers in his lap, seemingly lost completely and oblivious to everything around him.

His head snapped up when the seat next to him creaked a little bit, his eyes shifting ever so slowly to the person who had decided to interrupt his peace, or whatever the hell he was really doing. because the word peace wouldn't describe the storms that were swarming in his mind, too many things left unsettled, far too many things were not fixed, and he was blaming himself for all of it.

"There is only three days left before school starts, and they still haven't came back" he paused before continuing cautiously scared that someone might hear the conversation. "The ministry is sending more people to scout the grounds and the school, but with Taia gone, the dark wizards are only getting worse. just the other day when I was visiting Anne, I was almost ambushed by one of the camps. It was pure luck that I got out uncasthed" Sebastian finished watching Imelda huddle her self with her sleeping robes, eyes fixed on the fireplace in front of her.

She was worried as well, her cousin's absence had stirred so many problems in the last couple of days, Ominis's father was looking for him for god knows why, the minister was not happy about his granddaughter going missing until professor Fig had to tell him everything, and calm him down. the Aurors had finally taken matter into hand, and started cleaning the highlands from camps and dark wizards, but with all the craziness with Rockwood and Ranrock, they weren't getting too far with that.

"Do you think she will come back? I mean that is her real home after all. and Ominis would follow her anywhere she decides to go, that man is in love with her. He proposed to her for merlin's sake!" She panicked finally letting the fears, and worries that have been festering in her burn away just like the fire in front of them.

The pair of them had gotten somewhat closer over the course of Taia being missing, Imelda refused to go home in defiance to her mother who had canceled Quidditch, and Dante decided to stay with his sister. as for Sebastian he was locking himself in the library everyday trying to figure out a way to cure his sister.

"She...I-" He trailed off, he too did not know if she would come back with his best friend or not. He had not spent much time with them as of late, and now was living to regret it.

"Sebastian...I'm scared" Imelda admitted, and he finally turned his full attention to her, the room growing even colder as the frozen lake outside the windows seeped the frostiness into the common room.

"Me too..." He said only above a whisper, he was indeed scared of losing them both, he was scared of losing his twin, he was scared he would not find a cure in time. but he didn't divulge any of those fears to his newest friend.

He kept it bottled up inside just like the rest of his emotions for the brown eyed girl. emotions he did not know possesed over the course of their petty arguments or banters over the years. he sighed getting up from the chair. the chilled room getting almost unbearable to stay in, then he stood in front of her chair in one swift movement offering his hand to her as she made to get up.

Her eyes locked with his for a second, his face filled with shadows as his back faced the hearth now. but she knew those were not the only shadows that challenged the messy head of freckles, and she choose to not ask, and choose to be quite. now was not the time for such inquiries.
