Ominis tucked you further into him, glaring the whole time at Tam. his eyes glazed with a fire you have never seen before.
"You know for someone who just got their sight, you sure know how to use it" Tam said with sarcasm as he looked between the both of you.
A sigh left your mouth before taking Ominis's hand, fully aware that he would never back down from a rival, and would probably end up fighting him right here.
"I also know how to use my hands, if you would like a demonstration!"Ominis retorted back smugly before he felt you start to drag him away.
"Tam we should head back home now, Ominis still needs rest, um we can meet later and I'm going to explain everything to you" You replied starting on the walk towards the exit.
Ominis took a sudden breath, as if sensing the lie that laced the words you just spoke. not giving a chance for your oldest friend to respond, before you made your way out of the hospital, and into the frosted air that circulated London.
------
"You are not going to tell him are you?" Ominis asked taking in the sights for the first time as the car rode down the road. his fingers idly massaging the back of your hand.
You turned your head from the window and faced him, now looking at you with what seemed like petty.
"He was right you know, you do know how to use your eyes for someone who just gained sight" you whispered feeling uncomfortable under these blue eyes of his. so beautiful that it was now lined with his dark pupils and shining brightly.
"Instinct probably, It is amazing. I keep seeing things outside that I haven't a clue as to what they are. yet I find everything fasicanting. I guess I do need to learn how to read without my wand, and what the colors names are now that I can see them" he said then he got quiet again. his gaze traveled to your body, measuring every inch with his eyes that studied any small detail he caught.
"I have a lot more to study..." He said quietly almost too quiet. you almost couldn't hear him had you not been straining your ears for his words.
The blush that rose to your face was evident enough that you did, and it had him smirking with a sexy grin towards you. his eyes lit up, and he showed his teeth. you prayed to god that the driver was not listening in on this conversation, and as that thought circuld in your head you decided to change the topic. later, whatever he intended to do to you would come later.
"Anyway. As for Tam, I refuse to tell him the truth. the fact that he knows I can use magic only means that there are other people here who could. and If i'm not mistaken, then there should be a ministry of magic somewhere. I played with time when we traveled back here. which means, it won't be long before they find us, and I don't wish to linger here for them to do so" you whispered so only he could hear.
He nodded his head and looked back at the window.
"It's the safest option Taia, a petty though since I could not enjoy everything this era has to offer, but our safety should be our priority. your grandfather can't save us this time, but I'm sure he can once we go back home" He stated as a shadow of sadness passed over his features, but it was gone as soon as it came.
"Right, I totally forgot how mad he is going to be once we go back though, Merlin save me" You whined as you shook your head, hearing the gentle laugh that followed from Ominis.
"He would probably cut off your allowance as a punishment" He teased then grabbed your hand kissing the back of it. "but worry not, your future husband will take care of all your needs" You threw your head back laughing hard before nudging him in the side.
