„When you said, lets grab some food, I thought about a restaurant in the middle of the city and not the convenience store down the road."
Beomgyu pushed open the glass door that was followed by a ringing bell.
Herin was right behind him, her voice getting quieter as they entered the SevenEleven.

„Food is food."
Beomgyu answered as he turned around to her.
The store always had been empty around this time, probably because most people were already asleep at 1 am.
Herin rolled her eyes at him, bumped into him as she past him and entered the aisle a few meters behind him.

Beomgyu had spent a lot of time in this store, mostly to get away from all the stress, guns and drugs.
The business made good money, but sometimes he just needed to get away from it.
His feet were dragging across the floor as he followed Herin.
She was standing in front of the ramen shelf, picking one out of it only to put them down again.

„Haven't eaten these in a long time, so I don't know what to pick."
Beomgyu nodded as if it was the same for him, but he visited the store quite frequently especially for the ramen.
Herin on the other side, cooked most of her food herself, even though she mostly ate rice with some ready-made mild kimchi she bought from the small store on her street, run by an old woman.

Beomgyu reached for the ones right in front of him. He wasn't in the mood for something extremely spicy, even though he liked spicy food, so these had been the best option.
When he looked over to Herin again, she grabbed one of the more spicy ones.
„You know that that is really spicy, right?"
He pointed at the small illustrated flame on the package.

„Yeah. Am I not allowed to eat spicy food?"
She glanced up at him and Beomgyu shrugged with his shoulders.
„I just thought you didn't like it."
He was right. Herin hated spicy food or more like, she couldn't eat it.
It always made her stomach hurt.
She just had a low spice tolerance, but she didn't wanted to admit it.
She was stubborn after all.

„You pay?"
She lifted her eyebrows while facing him.
„It was your idea." She added, trying to convince him.
So Beomgyu snatched the ramen out of her hand, walked over to the checkout and grabbed two water bottles on his way.
Herin actually had hoped she could've switched the ramen again, when Beomgyu wouldn't be looking, but now it was too late.

„Here."
Beomgyu placed the hot ramen on the table as they sat down.
The steam fogging up the window in front of them. He sat down next to her, breaking the chopsticks in two to hand them over to Herin.
After she took them, he broke the other pair for himself and stirred his hot noodles.

Herin copied him and when she opened open the thin foil, she could already smell the hot spices.
Her eyes fell onto Beomgyu's good looking ramen as he took a bite.
She should've just admitted, that she hadn't seen the flame symbol on the lid and switched her ramen to less spicy ones, but now she sat here, at 1 am, with food she couldn't really eat.

Right next to it, her phone.
The screen was broken since it had fallen out of her pocket a few months ago.
As she looked at it, she remembered Taehyun's phone and his screen.
She lay her chopsticks to the side, turned to Beomgyu who had his eyes opened a bit wider in surprise, while some noodles were dangling out of his mouth.

„When you threw Taehyun's phone to the ground when we were at the gym-„
Beomgyu cut her off.
„I didn't threw it onto the ground, it fell after I bumped into his hand."
Herin moved her hand through the air, as if there had been a fly bothering her.
„I don't care how it was. What I care about is his screen."

Beomgyu lifted one eyebrow in confusion, placing his chopsticks on top of the ramen pot.
„It was broken when you picked it up, right?"
He slowly nodded, not knowing what exactly she was thinking about.
He remembered picking it up and wanting to give it back to Taehyun, but because Kai wanted to talk to Beomgyu, he had kept it for the call.
