„Why were you at the company?"
...
„Why and where were you hiding for three months, only to call us yourself?"
...
„Why did you let go of his hand?"
...

The man sighed as he lay his pen to the side and leaned back in the uncomfortable chair, making it squeak.
He pushed his glasses up and rubbed his eyes, before he crossed his arms in front of his chest.

„You can keep your mouth shut as long as you want, but it won't get you out of here. We already have enough evidence to lock you up in jail for years, this is just a routine. There is no hope for you anyway."

Beomgyu glanced up at the detective.
He hadn't lifted his head since he had gotten here. All he did was staring onto the handcuffs around his wrists, the metal cold touching his skin.
His knuckles were busted open and some blood covered his hands.
It could've been his own or the blood of-

„Hey!"
The detective had hit with his fist onto the black table in between them.
The water they had given Beomgyu spilled over and his pen rolled right of the edge, making the man in front of him sigh even louder.

„Just answer my questions and this will be over soon. For the both of us." He explained annoyed.
Then he reached for his pen again and flipped through the documents on the table.

„So you were part of the MOA clan.
What exactly was your position? What did you do?"
Again, the detective waited for an answer he wouldn't get.
„Some of your friends told us, that you guys mostly just sold drugs. They denied that there was a lot of killing, but you guys were one of the biggest Mafia groups in the whole country.
I won't believe that you didn't kill."

The man stared at Beomgyu, but he stayed silent.
It looked like he knew everything anyway.
There was no need for him to tell him more.
„Look at me while I talk to you!"
The detective reached for Beomgyu's chin and aggressively held it between his fingers, making him face him.

„I really tried to be nice, but I am running out of patience." He hissed at him, but Beomgyu stayed calm.
His eyes slid down to his police mark hanging around his neck, his name engraved onto it. Detective Park.
„Tell me the truth about your clan.
Everything you know.
What you guys did, how much money you made, who your biggest consumers were, how many people you guys killed, if you even remember a number..."

Beomgyu's bloodshot eyes stared in his angry ones, while he still held up his face, stopping him from looking onto the floor again.
„You only believe what you want to believe. There is no reason to tell you anything."
Beomgyu's voice was sore and he sounded more or less indifferent.

Park pushed Beomgyu back into his chair and he slowly moved his jaw, after the man had used enough strength to make it hurt.
He smashed his flat hands onto the table, leaning forward to Beomgyu again.

„How would I believe you, after what had happened on the rooftop?"
The lamp above him created a shadow in his face, making him look even more angry than before.
„Choi Soobin deserved everything that happened to him. He wasn't someone innocent.
If you were looking for a killer, than you should've taken care of Soobin before I did."

„So you had already planned to kill him as you got there?
Why? Was that why you were at the company?"
Beomgyu bit on his tongue, remembering their fight before it had escalated and then shook his head.
„I wanted to get him arrested, because I thought it would hurt him more to lose everything he had built up, than actually dying, but when I saw how scared he was hanging over the edge..."

Park's eyebrows darted together.
„You called us to get him arrested?"
He sat back down.
„But it would've gotten you arrested as well.
What was the reason to get him arrested so badly, that you even sacrificed your own freedom for it?"
Beomgyu kept his mouth shut again.
The reason would change nothing about the outcome.
He would be in jail and Beomgyu had accepted it, even before his plan had changed.
