„What?"

„You don't need to protect me. I am not in danger." Herin shook her head.
„I mean, yeah... the video situation isn't the best, but it doesn't put me in any danger as long as I don't provoke Soobin in some way."
But as she looked into his face, she could sense that something was off.
Beomgyu looked nervous.

„Beomgyu..."
Herin said as she took a step closer to him.
„Why does it sound like, I am already in danger?" Beomgyu swallowed.
He could try to deny it, but she wouldn't stop asking until she got an answer.

Maybe it had been due to tell her anyway.
The perfect timing he had hoped for, never existed and he knew that.
He just used it as an excuse to keep it a secret from her.
That had been easier, than explaining what actually had been going on behind the scenes.
It was easier to protect her this way.

„It's not the video I worry about."
Beomgyu finally said.
His mouth was dry and his words feeling heavy on Herin's chest.
„I don't understand..."
Herin narrowed her eyebrows even more.
A soft wrinkle appearing between them.
Beomgyu took in a deep breath, before going on with his confession.

„I am worried about Soobin."
Herin let her tense shoulders fall back down.
„No, I know. That's what I am saying. He can easily spread the video, if I do something stupid."

Beomgyu shook his head.
This was not what he meant.
„Besides the video..." He started.
„Soobin is the I worry about." He repeated and now Herin looked confused.
„Not because of the video, but because Soobin is Soobin.
He wants to have you.
Not for his clan or for his team. He wants to have you for himself."

„What does that even mean?"
Herin felt the heavy feeling on her chest get even heavier.
As if a stone was pressing her down.
„Soobin doesn't care if you join them.
He just cares about you.
He wants to control you and use you.
Demonstrate the force he has over you and how easily he can use it.
I think Soobin sees it as some kind of love, but he is a sociopath, an obsessed stalker, that always is just one step behind you, ready to catch up every second. He plays a game, because he likes the control he has over you."

Herin held up her hand, telling him to stop talking.
„A sociopath? An obsessive stalker? Love?"
She tilted her head, trying to hide the fact, that his words actually worried her.
„I know Soobin is not a nice or normal guy.
He is leading a drug business.
But calling him a sociopath and an obsessive stalker is a bit much, don't you think?"

Beomgyu shifted his weight from one leg, onto the other.
„He just meets me to make sure I tell Kai that l'm leaving." Herin added.
„You never thought it was strange, that he always met you himself, instead of sending Yeonjun or any other member?
The messages he sends you?
How nice he was?
He even gave you more time to tell Kai.
He is already using you for his sick power games."

Beomgyu took a step closer as well.
„He knows what you are feeling every time he sends you a new message.
He knows that you are trying to avoid him and he loves it, because he can pull the same shit over and over again.
Making you panic over a message.
Knowing how fast your heart beats every time his name pops up on your screen.
I bet he didn't even talk about the video, when he texted you the last time."

Herin slowly took her hand down.
Beomgyu was right.
He hadn't talked about it and she had thought it was weird. A weird game.
That Soobin always had been so nice to her, had made her worry as well, but Herin just tried not to pay too much attention to it.
She didn't wanted to question it, scared that she would find out the horrific truth.
But now, Beomgyu told her.
