Y/N made one final note in his journal to Hermione and snapped it closed, rubbing his head heavily.
'Y/N?' said Minerva's voice from out in the hallway.
'Yeah, what's up?'
The door opened and Minerva stepped in, though she immediately threw him a suspicious look the moment she entered.
'You look pale.'
'Too much time studying enchantments, that's all. Want to get all of these down before things go south.'
'Are you absolutely-'
'Yes mum, I'm sure,' said Y/N sternly. 'Harry has made his decision, and I have mine. I can't tell you anything and I stand with him. That's all there is to it.'
'Alright, well here, this might help too,' said Minerva, passing across a book dedicated to protective enchantments and spells.
'Thanks mum,' said Y/N, taking it and tucking it away beneath his desk.
He had been home for the summer for almost a week and most of that had been non-stop Order meetings. A final one was due to happen that evening at the Burrow to finalise their plans and discuss what was next.
The death of Dumbledore had once more thrown the subject of Grimmauld Place into disarray. With his death, all those who had known about the house had become Secret Keepers, including Snape.
Obviously, the Order had put some traps in place to deal with him should he choose to return to the house, however it had now meant that it could no longer be used as headquarters. They'd been hopping place to place for multiple reasons.
The Order were setting up for two major operations. The moving of Harry, and Bill and Fleur's wedding.
One of these was slightly less important, not to retract from Bill and Fleur, the Death Eaters were just less likely to invade that one.
And so, each time the Order had set up a meeting, they had chosen one of several locations and proceeded to place every magical defensive enchantment that any of them could think of around the place, this was two-fold.
Both to ensure the safety and protection of those who resided there, but also, to ensure that when the plan to move Harry was placed into action, the available safe houses were steadfast in their ability to house any involved should they need it.
The Ministry had of course offered their support as well but, at least as far as Moody was concerned, they were not to rely on this. If this time was to be anything like the last, the Ministry would not remain out of Voldemort's grip for long, and Y/N was keen to agree, especially as they already knew of several who had fallen to Imperius curses.
The current plan was to get Harry away from Privet Drive, as the moment he turned seventeen, his mother's enchantment over the house would break, and the Death Eater's would be able to reach him.
This meant that they were going to move him before his birthday, hoping that this would confuse Voldemort who'd be expecting them to move Harry on his birthday, as they had already leaked this information.
The how, however, was still up in the air. The floo network stood to give them away if the Ministry fell. Apparition could be tracked as could most other forms of transportation. And portkeys were off the table, Moody believed that if the Ministry could find an excuse to arrest any of them, they would. And the idea of losing another member of the Order to something like Azkaban was not appealing.
The meeting that evening would be to go over their final plan. Then tomorrow, Y/N had another task.
Wiping the memories of Hermione's parents.
