'Rennervate.'

The Minister snapped awake, blinking slowly before looking around wildly, trying to catch a glimpse of anyone nearby.

'What, where am I? Who's out there?'

'Not your concern right now, Minister,' said Y/N.

Thicknesse's head snapped toward him. He'd made sure to leave himself half-concealed in darkness. His legs and lower body could be seen, but not his face. He wanted to be a bit dramatic, wasn't every day you kidnapped the Minister.

'And who the hell are you supposed to be?'

'That depends on who you ask really... I've been called all sorts.'

Y/N pushed himself up off the wall he was leaning against.

'Dumbledore's Apprentice.... Rising Phoenix... Undesirable Number 2. But for you Minister...'

He stepped out of the shadows.

'We'll go with Y/N.'

It was the first time that Y/N had seen his very presence strike genuine fear into a face. Thicknesse tried to backpedal, though as he was tied to a chair it was hard. He almost toppled over before Ginny stuck out her leg, rebalancing him.

He tried wildly to spin around, to catch a glimpse of who else was there but Y/N was too quick. With a flick of his hand, he forced Thicknesse's head to turn back to him, keeping their eyes locked.

'Now now, I only want to ask you some questions, that's all. Then you can go on your way.'

'You'll ask me nothing, where am I? Release me!'

'You're in my hideout Minister, what does it look like? My capable ally brought you here.'

'Lafranis.'

'It was my pleasure,' said the accented voice of Klaus from behind Thicknesse.

'That brat who came climbing out from under the table?'

'His name is Klaus, but enough of that.'

Y/N finished his advance and knelt down.

'Where is the sword of Godric Gryffindor?'

'What?'

'I asked you a question. Where-'

'What do you want with that sword?' snapped Thicknesse.

'Oh, I'm sorry, I missed the part where you were interrogating me.' Y/N raised a hand, pointing at Thicknesse's arm, a gash opened there and Thicknesse yelled in pain. 'I ask the questions, not you. Consider that a taste.'

'I don't know,' snarled the Minister. 'It went missing months ago.'

'He is telling the truth,' said the projected voice of Klaus.

'Good. And now, tell me who has you under the Imperius curse?'

'What Imperius curse? I'm acting by myself!'

'He lies,' said Klaus.

'Good, now I know what both look like,' said Y/N. 'So, onto my real questions. Who broke into the Ministry?'

Thicknesse did not look impressed. He kept trying to subtly turn himself, to see the person behind him, but Y/N kept forcing his head back, demanding that he keep his eyes locked on Y/N.

He glared at him for a few moments before answering.

'I don't know. There were two of them, couldn't make them out-'

'He's a liar,' said Klaus.

'I don't like liars, Minister,' said Y/N, raising a hand, this time pointing at his ear.
