Chapter 3 - The ONS #2

The second day of this stupid ONS thing. I really just want to spend six hours in class with my friends and talk about anything. And this is the first time I'm mentoring on ONS. Well honestly, I didn't help anything yesterday. I only watched them doing what the teachers said.

When I arrived at school and walking towards my class, I saw that four figures sitting in front of my class. It was Reece, Dean, Brian and Alec. And ofcourse I was alone, I just arrived though. The four of them were staring at me while they were talking. I was kinda nervous.

Why can't you guys just continue talking and stop staring at me?

I swear you guys will be separated soon enough and won't be able to stare at me like that.

Gosh that was awkward.

I mean, they're the ones who supposed to be nervous not me, cause they were new here and I'm not. Ugh I hate this situation. I chose to look down and walk a bit faster. Finally I was in the class and the awkward moment was over.

Wow hot guys finally noticed you!

Really, brain? Okay they're kinda cute, but yeah I don't care.

The second day of ONS is actually the same as the first day. Me and my friends only stand there and do nothing. But today we help a little. When I said "a little", I meant "you people can totally do it without my help". Duh.

That guy over there, Brian, was still staring at me since yesterday. And the girl over here, me, still ignored him. Even when I wasn't with Irene. Well, that means Brian was actually staring at me not Irene. And plus, I noticed Dean too was staring at me, but not as much as Brian did. Is it a good thing? Never mind.

Make a move, Kate. One of them may like you.

No I won't, Brain. I just wish I could be in class and be with Phil right now. I missed him. I wonder what happened that made him this quiet. The guy who can suddenly act strange in front of you, that's Phil. I was kinda hurt by the way he ignored me. But let's just say, maybe he was just not my close friend I used to know, and move on. I didn't like him that much.

This day, we did the ceremony rehearsal and some kind of like the staring contest and it was funny. They had to stare at whoever the mentors and whatever the mentors did, they shouldn't laugh for one minute. If they laugh, they can't go to class and have a break. The one that had to be staring at me is... dun dun dunnn not Brian guys. Is Dean lol. He smiled shyly at me but I didn't smile back.

"Start... now", I ordered as Dean started staring at me. I didn't want to make a silly face in front of him. I chose to give him my straight face. No need to take so long, Abby came. And she's the one who made a silly face and tried to make Dean laugh. I'm glad I was free to laugh cause Abby's face was so weird and I laughed. One second after I laughed, Dean laughed. Yeah the three of us laughed and Dean had to start over. He was the last person that haven't done yet. Brian, Reece and Alec just stood there and laughing at Dean. Which made it more difficult for Dean to hold his laugh. Until finally, he did it. His face turned into tomato. He was laughing while hitting his friends' arms.

"Shit all of you", Dean yelled.

"What?", the boys laughed innocently.

"Your face though", I laughed at his face.

Dean laughed shyly and didn't dare to look at me. Brian was staring at me while we were laughing. Ugh I chose to take Abby's wrist and walked away from there. We were the only girls there. Guess Irene, Liz and Amber got back to their classes earlier.

"Dean was funny though, he looked like he was about to explode", Abby said sarcastically.

"Not his fault though, your face was funny"

"Yeah I know"

"What do you think about four of them?"

"They were fun! No wonder they got friends that quick"

Abby was a 9th grader and I was an 8th grader, so we separated.

"See ya later Kate"

When I opened the class, the first thing in my mind was "ignore Phil". I walked towards my seat and talked with Irene. There was Kai and Marc too. As we were eating our lunch, I told them about Dean. They were laughing too.

"So that's the guy who named Dean?" Irene asked as she pointed to Dean's direction, I nodded.

"He looked like a geek sometimes", Marc said.

After we finished our lunch, Irene and I walked out of the class. I saw that four figures, again, in front of my class. Yeah I just looked away, to avoid the awkward moment. I think the cutest of them would be Reece and Dean, and thank Neptune they were in my class. Brian and Alec were not cute, they were just fine. But they all were tall, and that's one of the interesting things from a guy. Am I right?

The teacher walked into the class and ordered the new students to go to another class and join the other new students. But not with the mentors yay!

"So that will be your seats, take a look of them then start moving", the teacher said while pointing the paper on the wall.

Oh, I just wish my seat isn't that far with Irene's. We were starting to take a look, ugh mine and Irene's not close. Irene will sit beside Marc. Guess who will sit beside Reece? Haley LOL. Unlucky you, Reece. And guess who will sit beside me? Dean. Thank Neptune he was still in the other class, tomorrow after NOS he will be here sit beside me.
