Chapter 10 - He Remembered

"Listen, class. Next week you will have the midterm exam, so please study hard and learn the lessons that your teachers have been taught. The grade seven, eight and nine will be separated to three classes and the teachers will mix and set your seats. So, here's the exam schedule, take a look and write it down", the teacher explained as we sighed.

I was really, really too lazy to study. I mean, who wasn't?

"Now, I'm going to tell you which room you will attend, please be quiet", the teacher said.

Oh my gosh, I wish I will attend the same room with Irene. Well Reece and Dean too. My teacher called our names.

"Dean, room two"

...

...

"Irene, room two"

Then Reece and I must be there too. But...

"Kate, room three"

Guess it's not your lucky day...

Hell! I will be separated with Irene, can't work together again.

"Reece, room three"

YEA! That's exactly what I'm talking about! But, I can't and I won't work together with Reece. He wasn't that smart though, he's the one who will need me, not me. Doesn't mean I don't want to help him on exam though, but... Ugh it's complicated. One of the smart students in room three with me was Kai, and we usually worked together on exam.

That time, I didn't have any spirit to study, but still wanted to get good scores though. I wish I had a fairy godmother, duh.

"Will you study?", I asked Irene. She was the one who always study diligently.

"I don't know, I probably study the night before the exam though"

I just grinned at her. She was the type of person who sleeps in the evening and awake in the middle of the night. She often texted me "is there any homework?" when I was about to sleep.

It was friday, TGIF! We had Art, History and Extracurricular. In Art, the teacher told us to draw. Like we were kindergarten kids. Dean didn't sit beside Reece, he moved and sat next to Joe. And Finn, my friend who sat next to me if you forgot, he moved too and sat next to Dan. So, the seat beside me and Reece was empty.

The class was silent as we focused on drawinf. Until we heard someone opened the door and he walked into the class. He was a primary school teacher. My teacher nodded as he greeted him. He walked around the classroom until he sat on the seat next to Reece. Few of my friends were giggling because Reece started to feel uncomfortable.

I looked at Reece and yeah, he absolutely looked uncomfortable. I just half-smiled at him. Suddenly, he bent down, squatted, passed under the table and sat beside me.

What the heck?????

I was shocked and didn't know what to say as he looked at me innocently. All I said was, "You're crazy". I mean, he could at least tell the teacher that he wanted to move rather than he had to bent down and else. Or maybe "excuse me"?

The class noticed that Reece just moved beside me like that, then they started making fake-cough. I glared at them. Reece felt annoyed and uncomfortable, again. So he chose to get back to his seat and sat beside the teacher.

In History, Reece, Dean, Irene and I were chatting and laughing. I was enjoying our conversation. We were laughing too loud, especially Irene.
