Chapter 8 - Move On

I was trying to forget and leave all about Brian behind me, but all I wanted to do when I opened my phone was check out Brian's or Debbie's social media to know how was their relationship this far. I didn't know why I wished there was some problems between them, I think I was kinda jealous.

I've been thinking of ways to forget about him. When I wanted to forget about Phil, all I did was move on to Brian. So, I think move on would be a good way to forget him. But who would I move on to? Dean? He was my good friend and I didn't like him that way. Reece? He was my good friend too, but... Maybe it worth a try.

I think I have something inside me for him. So, from now on, I would try to make myself close to him and by that would distract me from Brian. It would be easy because I sat in front of him. As time flies, my feelings to him grew each day. We were close at school, but we didn't text that often.

When we were about to lunch, Irene, Dean, Reece and I sat together. I sat beside Irene, and in front of Reece. Irene and Dean brought their lunch, Reece and I didn't and we didn't bought anything to eat too.

"I need to get my drink first guys", Irene said then went to the classroom to get her bottle.

"Oh yeah, I want to go to the restroom", Dean said then left me and Reece alone.

Awkward.

"You don't wanna go to the restroom with Dean?", I asked.

Gosh! Why did you ask him that?!

"Hahaha, no", he answered then asked me, "Why don't you eat? Not hungry yet?"

"Umm, yeah, I'm not hungry yet I guess. Why don't you?"

"Haha, me neither"

After that, none of us started a conversation, I just didn't know what to talk about, my heartbeat ran fast I could hardly breathe. All I did was looked around, then took a glance at him, then looked around again. It was like five minutes already and we didn't talk until Dean was back.

"Where's Irene?", I asked Dean.

"I don't know. Meeting her boyfriend I guess? Haha"

"It's ten minutes already, we will be in class in five minutes and she haven't eat her food yet"

"And you know how slow she eats", Reece said with a smirk on his face.

"I heard you, Reece", Irene finally here without her bottle.

"Uh, where's your bottle, Irene?", Dean asked.

"Oh I forgot! Never mind, I met Bray when I was about to get my bottle", Irene explained.

"Told ya", Dean, Reece and I laughed.

When I was already at home and finished all my after-school-routines, I took my headphone and listened to some songs. I remembered the awkward moment that Reece and I had earlier. I didn't know why that incident repeated in my head over and over. It was uncomfortable.

beep beep *my phone vibrated*

Guess someone texted me. When I opened it, it was Carrie, a friend from my church. I wasn't that close with her, wondered why she texted me.
