The one that cared...
The one that listened...
The one that's been there...

I ran into Alpha Jake, the one that rejected my best friend, the one that I truly feel doesn't deserve anything and the one that my dear best friend forgave him... and how I usually am calm was feeling more hatred for it.

"Clare... I never truly apologised for how acted when Lia disappeared and I... let my anger and my wolf take it out on people around me... I'm especially sorry to you because I really wanted to find Lia... I finally realised how important she was to me. I'm sorry and I hope to be a better mate and alpha to the pack."

'I don't say anything and only stare up at him. That's it... I didn't feel satisfied... I felt more pain and more anger than anything in my life. He was giving me a sad smile but held his alpha aura. I'll tell you I'm not the type to lash out, I always held myself to be calm and not let emotions that could make me snap... but for the first time, I didn't hold back.'

"You know I cared for Lia, I was the one that's been there for her. I was the one to help her when she needed someone the most. It was always me and I would do it again because she's my best friend... the one I be been with since the day I have known her.

When I found out you rejected her... something snapped really bad. So I helped her get away... away from you. You ruined everything... you didn't just ruin your life, Lia's life, the pack and everyone else... you ruined mine..."

Jake could only stare at me when I finished and what I did next not only shocked him and myself but those around that were coming near.

I punched him in the face, I knocked him down and he was on the ground. I kind of knew his wolf didn't like that but Jake was trying to hold him back.

"Clare!"

The voice I heard was Lia... she came running and looked both at Jake and me, trying to figure out what was going on. My anger grew more when I saw her and the one behind her... Alpha Colton.

The one that helped take my best friend in his pack, helped her grow stronger, was there for her and grew to love her and ... this was before I saw it when he confessed. He didn't care to find his mate... he only loved Lia and I think she too loved him but realised Jake was her one and only mate.

Both Lia and Colton when coming to pack seemed like a couple. An Alpha and Luna, they looked great together... and it broke my heart when I heard what he said. Of course, he didn't know until we finally met and was kind of in love with Lia and Lia was still in between giving Jake a second chance.

Now that she has chosen Jake, it makes sense everything is back on track. Is it really?

As I look down at Alpha Jake, my wolf starts to show and yell at him, "This is all your fault! Why did you have to reject Lia?! Why did everything become so complicated?! Why..." I felt pain so much pain and anger, "I'll never forgive you...I hate you and for everything you have done..."

I turned to look at Colton still feeling angry and did something I thought would be impossible...

"I Clare Reeds reject you Alpha Colton as my mate..."

I was already feeling so much pain that couldn't tell the difference if there was more when I said it but I saw Colton holding his chest and his breathing went rapid. I heard Lia call out to me but I just walked away.
