Her eyelids dropped like heavy curtains and limbs felt like lead weights as she was exhausted from all school works. Her thought drifted to main scenes that happened today.
Why did he want to be friends all of a sudden? And the way he stared at her with that coffee brown eyes made her feel uneasy. She dragged her body to her bed and slammed onto it getting a call from sleep . She pulled the blanket over her and drifting into a deep slumber.
A sound coming from her tinted closed windows and continuous beeping of alarm nearly cause damage to her ears making her shoot her eyes open. She cursed at that damn rooster for the early morning disturbance and groaned but knew she had to wake up and start her day.
Well one of the main things she had to do was ask Ian why he was being like that. It didn't sit well with her knowing that Bennie will just go crazy if they meet again.
She slide a slice of bread into her mouth and poured some juice into her bottle from the jar on the dinning table after she got a call from Bennie that she was packed outside her house and was waiting for her.
Leaving with goodbyes from her dad who was yet to leave for work and mom. But her brothers had to annoyingly tag along the ride which she knew they had intentionally slowed down getting ready for school.
Who doesn't like free rides which would save some money? She thought shaking her head as she pushed them out the house to hurry up. She got into the front seat Honda civic Bennie used with her two brothers behind.
"Good morning boys" Bennie greeted looking at the two boys as they got comfortable in their seats.
"Good morning Bennie" they both said in unison.
"How come you're coming with us this morning?" She asked them twisting her wrist to turn on the engine.
"We missed you" Carl answered.
"That's a lie they just want free rides" Jossy said after buckling up.
"Don't mind her" Joseph answered hitting his sister head right in front of him making her choke on her juice.
"Ok Joe I really like the idea of you missing me but don't start a fight in my car. Alright?" Bennie commanded.
"Yh Sure ma'am" Joseph answered moving backwards.
"You too Carl" Bennie said to him throw the rearview mirror.
"Ok but I come in peace" he said with a smile.
"I wish they listen to me like they do to you." Jossy said sizing them up.
"Alright let's get you boys to school" Bennie said to them after stepping on the accelerator.
After dropping them off at their school affiliated to their university, they got to school after forty five minutes ride and parked the car at the available space at the parking lot.
"I would talk to Ian and clear everything okay so don't worry." Jossy said to her before they could step out of the car.
"No need to do that. He should say whatever he wants".Bennie said taking the key out to step out of the car.
"But I should" Jossy insisted.
"Forget it. Anyways Rach said she'd she'll be coming here with Lili after school." Bennie said distracting Jossy's mind of the subject.
"That's cool then. But does your dad know you've been bringing his car to school?" Jossy asked her as they walk towards their department.
"Yh he does but I had to persuade him. He's just too much" Bennie sid shaking her head.
"I know right Mr. Quarm is strict sometimes".Jossy said jokingly.
"I'll see you later" Bennie said before leaving with a hug.

First hours of lectures came to end, fixing her white nursing attire she picked her books and left with Cassandra to the lab for an experiment. The lab was located opposite to the engineering department which Alexander and Ian studied at. She just hoped she doesn't see them.
Her thought swirled around like a maze with the questions Cassandra bombarded her regarding why she was to meet him. She clearly didn't like how nosy she was like she needed answers about her relation with him to confirm some unknown plans.
She shifted in her seat direction her head to the other side in other to avoid her questions.
" I know you can hear what I'm saying" Cassandra whispered to her in her left ear.
"Cass can you keep quiet and let me listen to what the lecturer is saying"She hissed at her.
" Alright I was just curious". Cassandra said before shutting up.
"This is not the time to be curious" Jossy added firmly.
"Ok" She quietly.
She hurriedly packed her materials and took off her lab coat and left the lab to avoid her at all cost just to ran into the person she didn't want to see today and not in the heated state she was in at the moment.
She stood there looking at him with her nervously fidgeting with her books looking around to find an escape route.
"Hey I didn't know I'd see you here" Alex said with a wide smile.
"Yh same here. Do you mind excusing me I'm in a hurry." Jossy said to him without hesitating.
"Ok.. Yh". He answered brows together clearly confused with her sudden character.
"See you" He added with a smile but dropped after she didn't respond back.
Twisting his neck to sides he thought if he had offended her in anyway because he's never seen her eyes so pinned and flashing warning before. They always sparkled when she saw and spoke to him with a bright smile.
He stood there for while looking at her back after she was out of his sight but felt a stung in his heart at how she just left without glancing back at him making his chest tightened harder. He got out of his thought after Ian asked him why he was standing there like that.
Her gaze fixed on the entrance of the cafeteria, she tapped her fingers on the table as she waited anxiously for her friend. She rose her head to look at the person who entered only to find Alex already staring at her as he got seated at the next table directly in front of her.
She diverted her gaze to look at anywhere but him. Her phone buzzed with a notification from Bennie that she's on her way,she decided to busy herself with God knows whatever she was doing on her phone. After two minutes of awkwardly shifting her position, Bennie arrived and got seated on the left side in front of her but she told her to sit directly to her.
She gave her a weird look but followed her gaze and realized that Alex was staring intensely at Jossy. Without questioning her she did that.
She gave her the 'what's going on look' indicating that she needed to know why he was staring at her like they had an argument.
