"Watch where you're going" She said to Jossy rolling her eyes.

"Excuse me you bumped into me and you tell me what" Jossy replied raising her brows and looked at her unbelievably.

"Oh did I?. I didn't see you" She said sarcastically, flipped her blond wig over her shoulder and left.

"The guts" Jossy said with a scoff.

She walked with her tray with annoyance clearly drawn on her face to Bennie who was already seated munching her food. Bennie didn't notice that since she got her face buried with whatever she was going on her phone.

Jossy picked her food aggressively trying to get her attention but wasn't working until she picked up Bennie's frosty bite vanilla from her tray.

She then examined her face and gave her a warning look to put it back but Jossy challenged her with a similar look. That was when she realized her best friend was angry about something and decided to ask her.

She explained everything to her and felt like got angry for exactly no reason but she already didn't like that forced blonde girl.

I don't nedd to worry about some spoilt brat. She thought.

Hopefully she won't cross paths with her but she guessed not and that irritated her and tighten her jaw.
She doesn't need to worry about someone she'd barely see around but talk about uneasiness that's what she was feeling.

She continued with her food with her head lowered ,she felt a presence behind her and with a tap from Bennie it was confirmed someone was right there but before she could get a view the space beside her was occupied with him.

He smiled at her and placed his tray down. Bennie gave Ian a look that says don't you dare sit by him.
He scoffed and sat by Alex who waved at Bennie before he turned his attention to the girl who was shifting awkwardly beside him.

She looked around and realized most of the girls were now looking at her with disturbing look but she shrugged it off. She turned her attention back to him and noticed he wasn't bothered about all those nasty looks.

"We're having a game tomorrow." He started.
"Wanna come?"he asked and then looked at face.

Wait don't tell me he's nervous. She thought and smiled.

"Why are you smiling?I haven't said anything yet."Jossy questioned dropping her smile.

"That's because you're smiling dummy"Bennie answered.

She looked at Bennie,Isaac and then Alex's face who had a smirk on his face. Now she felt betrayed by herself.

"I guess that's the answer then"She said.

"Is it an important game?"Bennie asked Alex after cleaning her mouth with a tissue.

"Why do you think he asked her to come?"Ian retaliated.

"It wasn't a question for you to answer".She replied harshly rolling her eyes.

"Well since I'm part of the game-

"Stop it man".Alex nudged him by his side.

"You two stop bickering will you?"Jossy stated.

"Tell him that"Bennie said lowly.

They both exchanged annoying looks .Bennie stood from her seat and went to her next lectures.
Such an annoying prick he is.

They left school early today which was quiet unexpected but the day didn't end on a good note as they were both loaded with assignments and some nerve racking researches.

They both had someone to annoy them today. Like it was planned to ruin their mood today. Jossy didn't let what happened at the cafeteria pass, she questioned her about her sour attitude towards Ian which well she didn't get the whole genesis of it.

Making Bennie furious than she already was. She thought her bestfriend was siding with a stranger well her new friend but Jossy made it clear that she's on her side.

~~

After careful consideration of her schedule, she finally realized she didn't ask about the game. She searched for her phone for while she got tired and frustrated. She decided to ring it but pulled her hair in irritation after she remembered it was on silent.

She sat down on her bed, calmed down and decided to search again. It laid peacefully under her books thus picked it up and opened her Instagram account and sent a message to Alex for the details of the game.

He replied after an hour of making her wait. The game was organized late in the afternoon at Brookside University a rival school tomorrow which was Friday.

~~

"You look too good for a basketball game you know". Bennie eyed her.

Jossy studied her bestfriend and said "And you?, you look like you're going on a date."

"Please It's just my everyday drip" Bennie said shrugging her off.

"Whatever you say ma'am" Jossy said with a bow.

They made their way into Brookside University which was quite different from theirs. Well it should be.

The school's name boldly written on its entrance showcasing its official colors Savannah gold ,Nile blue and their accent color Maasai red reflecting african culture and landscape.
It was good the girls went earlier to have a look around the school not without a school guide of course.

It takes two hours drive to the coastal areas where Brookside university is located, talk about the fresh sea breeze hitting your face, the wind flying your hair around, the enchanting scenery of canoes and Fishermen drawing their nets from the sea.

The have a student body of about twenty thousand people, their academic focus is the same as Ashwood university. The have an ancient iconic clock tower, modernized sports facilities, coastal views and ultramodern science labs.

The jaw dropping moments were when the girls and other students of Ashwood found out about the records of the school.

Two-time African university basketball champions, five-time Ghana University Sports Association Champions, produced five national team players and one player in the NBA.

The buliding of the court was decorated with their magnificent colors and three mascots at the entrance and its capacity is as equal to Ashwood's. The floor of the court had the school's emblem showing the nicely drawn ship making it look like that of the Manchester city's.

The wait was over as soon as the speakers seated at the corners of the court produce a sound indicating the commentators are seated and the game is ready to begin.

"Ladies and Gentlemen Good afternoon and welcome to Brookside University. Are we ready for the most anticipated game?" The male commentator said with enthusiasm with screams all over place.

"Western Conference basketball game between two rivals and you all know the history between these two. I'd love to go over it but let's skip that today and get some balls shooting!!!!!". The female announcer took charge with an increase in tone at the end of her sentence making the crowd go bananas.
