"Why is he staring at you like that?"Bennie asked her while munching on her food.
" I don't know"She answered briefly.
"What do you mean you don't know?" Bennie asked her again.
She shrugged and kept on filling her mouth with her pasta. Bennie dropped her spoon on her plater, folded her arms with an eyebrow waiting for an explanation. Knowing there's no way out of this she explained everything to her without looking at her to see how her expressions were changing.
After clearing their table, they left the cafeteria with Jossy taking the lead.
"You're unbelievable" Bennie said sighing.
"Why? I mean I don't want people getting the wrong idea and with Cassandra asking all those questions I just want to becareful".Jossy explained.
"I know but it's not right ignoring him" Bennie urged.
"Yh i know" Jossy said.
"Something smells fishy about that Cassandra girl".Bennie said out of nowhere.
"You're just been paranoid". Jossy said.
"No I'm not i don't like her. She looks like trouble" Bennie added.
"Or maybe you're jealous?" Jossy said wriggling her eyebrows.
"Me? Jealous? Of who? Her?" Bennie said in denial with a fake laugh.
"Where should we go with the girls?" Bennie asked her diverting the topic.
"Tea shop" Jossy suggested.
"For bubba tea I guess?" Bennie asked her after which she nodded.
"A'ight see you after lectures then" She said with a wave.
She slowly settled into her seat as his confused look and his stares came into her mind so suddenly felt guilty for her behavior.
She laid her head down on her desk for a short nap but couldn't so she decided to check out some online news when she got a notification from her Instagram account.
She opened it up to find a new follow, she laid back in her seat and tapped on the account and the username was alex_mac wondering who that was, she clicked on the account and saw some pictures and realized it belongs to Alexander.
She gasped and covered her mouth with her hand with her eyes wide open. Shocked is an underestimate for what she was feeling.
She mistakenly liked a picture and received a message from the account. She clicked on the kite shaped arrow at the top right corner of her Instagram account.
It reads "is this Josephine the library girl? ". She saw it and quickly ignored and tapped on the home button and closed her phone.

She jogged down the stairs to meet Bennie for their girls time with Lili and Rachel. She decided to take a short cut but stopped in her tracks when she saw Ian few meters away from her.
Just when she turned around to the other direction he called out to her. She continued walking cursing within with her head down. Bumping into a body, she rubbed her forehead and rose her head in a second ready to give an earful but stopped.
Her mouth opening and closing, she lost her words when she saw who she was standing a few step away from. She took a step back taking note of their proximity and organized herself.
"Hey" she said after clearing her throat.
"Are you avoiding me?" Alex asked straight to the point.
"No I'm not." She answered.
"Is that so?" He asked taking a step forward.
"Yh" she answered with a flushed face.
"Alright why didn't you reply my message then. I know you read it". He demanded.
"You sent a message? When?" She tried to play dumb.
"Don't play dumb with me Josephine." He stated. "and look at me in the eye"
"Yh I did but I just wanted to know who it is that's it". She defended her actions.
"What about the cafeteria?" He asked.
"What about it?" She asked.
"You were avoiding my gaze" he said.
"I wasn't-, she got a call before she could complete her sentence.
" Hello? OK I'm on my way".She said whiles speeding away faster than the wind that blew.
She left him standing, but equally grateful that Bennie called at the right time. She was going to thank her with an extra bubba tea for saving her life.
She let out a heavy breath like air has been sucked out of her living body with a hand settled on her waist when she got to the parking lot and dropped her bag to the ground . She saw Bennie with Rach and Lili waiting patiently out of the car for her.
She strolled slowly lifting her bag off the ground and made her way to the car. She got into the car after greeting them and dropped her body at the back seat wiping her sweat.
They exchanged looks and got into the car also.
"Mind telling us you look stressed" Lili suggested.
"Yh you look pale and that tired look on your face isn't a result of studying" Bennie added.
She just tilted her head and looked at their face one after the other before positioning herself well to explain not before she let out a heavy sigh loaded with exhaustion due to her long and fast run.
She should have just signed up for triple jump back at high school if she could go this far. She thought.
"Is that why you were panting like that? Damn" . Rach said laughing.
"So you tried avoiding him just to bump into him?" Lili asked her with her head turned to Jossy.
"That's exactly what I said" Jossy exclaimed.
"My goodness what's the episode of this Korean drama?" Bennie asked whiles driving through the main entrance of the school.
"I think episode four because they've passed the introduction stage" Lili answered holding her stomach due to the pain she felt while laughing.
"Very true I just hope episode fourteen and fifteen won't be anything overwhelming." Rach said after she also controlled her laughter.
"Yh we don't want any unnecessary drama. Just happy ending" Bennie chirped.
"You guys realize I'm still here and not deaf right?" Jossy asked annoyingly.
"We do babe. We do" Lili answered sweetly.
So much of a girls hangout. Three unbothered bitches. She thought.
