* flashback *

Two years back

I am writing my English mid term exam and I'm almost done with it. It was just the easy that I was completing.

I felt the attendance sheet near my hand but I thought to first complete the sentence as I was about to finish. After I did I grabbed it and looked up.

As I looked up my eyes met with the most beautiful pair of eyes I have ever seen in the world. The eyes were big and the perfect shade of light brown with thick leashes.

His eyes were different the most different one I have ever seen. I felt a strange thing in his eyes that was attracting me towards it.

As I blinked they were gone. I was so lost in looking at his beautiful eyes that I didn't see his face. God damn woman.

His seat was infront of me but I couldn't peak as the teacher was eyeing me. Maybe she thought I was cheating but God damn woman I'm not, you can take my paper. Just let me look at what this face looks like.

I couldn't see his face. All I saw was his wide and a bit chubby back. He is short not much taller then me. I guess I'll find him soon.

I couldn't even find him now as this was our last exam and dussehra vacation are starting tomorrow.

* End of flashback *

Navratri was it my good time. I was even born on the first day of chaitra navratri. It is also celebrated as the beginning of Hindu new year.

My Nani (grandma from mom side ) always tells me the story of how I was born.

How I was the first baby of the house after 10 or 15 years. How my mom prayed daily to Krishna with 108 leaves of tulsi when she was pregnant.

She tells me that just when I was born there was a huge Devi possesion that passed from the side of the hospital and the sankhs and dhols were making a melodious sound. She says it was like the God came down to see and bless me.

That day my Dada ji ( gandpa from dad's side ) distributed sweets among all in the hospital and the school where he worked as a principal and all his neighbours.

How I was taken from hospital to our house in a brand new car that one of my father's close friends bought and said that first the Devi (goddess) of the house is gonna set her feet on it. He treats me like a daughter because his family always wanted one but they never had one.

How I was welcomed in our house with a huge arti, a lot of toys and a lot.

She always say you are actually the goddess of the house because when you came you bought with yourself a lot of luck, happiness and prosperity. Your father's business flourished with a lot of profits and all of the family got so happy after years of struggle.

She also says I have the feet of a goddess and I will bring luck, happiness and prosperity in the life of all the people I go to or be in happily.

She says nobody celebrated my brother's arrival like that, it was just a usual one and that he was pampered a lot less compared to me. I feel bad for this because it's actually true. He never demands for anything except for food and sometimes clothes and other things but they are also denied by everyone at many times. Where as for me it is different they just get everything I utter.

So, sometimes if someone says no to arnab he will just come to me and plead me to ask. Which I surely do.

Everyone might think I'm a spoilt brat but no I was actually bought up with a lot of good morals. I was even denied things sometimes.
