Not even in his worst nightmares, Chan could've ever phantom what happened next. As soon as they were heading out of the studio to go on a walk and maybe find some ice cream, none other than JYP came out of the elevator. It's not usual to see JYP around the building EVER, definitely not on this roof, and surely not at 11:54 on a Tuesday night. There's no actual reason for this alternative universe where JYP is walking in their direction while Alice is on Chan's left. For a moment Chan panicked. Someone told his boss that a girl who is not part of the company was in the studio with him? Is he fired? They would ask her to sign an NDA? He'll never see her again!

"Chan-ah! I was hoping to find you, I was wondering if- oh, hello, do I know you? What's your name? Are you one of the new trainees?" JYP talked before he could start spiraling, not even half-way through the hallway. The moment his eyes were no longer on him but on Alice, Chan was climbing over mirrors. All he said was in Korean, so there was no way she could reply. Before he could let himself panic or worry about being impolite, Chan talked.

"Oh, this is my cousin! She doesn't speak Korean. I'm sorry to have brought her here, but it's been so long since we saw each other, and she's really lost with language and-" He was explaining in Korean and that was the moment JYP decided to switch to his poor English.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know! It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Park Jin-young. From which part of Chan's family are you?" he asked and Chan tried to send her the most communicating glare he could, but she wasn't looking in his way, responding to the hand his boss had offered to Alice, which immediately replied, and Chan could tell he must had been surprised from her firm hand-shake.

"It's an honor to meet you." she said, lightly bowing her head, "My name's Jacqueline Doe, and from Chan's mom side. My Korean is terrible, I'm sorry, we just started to get in contact with long-lost relatives,- I hope I wasn't intruding in- oh." Her good acting was interrupted by her phone buzzing loudly, and as she picked it up, she bowed again, moving aside with a little "I'm really sorry, it's my mom," she said and walked over to where the old man had come from, turning just to show Chan the screen as his boss wasn't looking before heading for stairs's door next to the elevator. Minho called at the perfect time.

JYP's eyes hadn't moved from Chan, who forced himself not to look as disturbed as he is.

"She's lovely. And pretty. She looks like she's 20 years old. Does she have your same sense of music? We are working on a non-korean girl group and-"

Chan didn't like what his boss's words were implying, so he quickly and unashamedly interrupted it.

"No, she's family, but she's tone-deaf." he said quickly, biting his tongue. He wished he was as good at improvising as Alice, able to get herself out of situations like that with fake names on the spot. How she managed to immediately go along with his made-up story is a mystery. This was another proof that JYP lives in his own world; Alice definitely looks like a woman - a stunning woman, - and not like a girl, surely.

"Oh, too bad. Anyway. I was here to talk to you about the comeback. You'll have a little more interviews than we thought, and-"

🐿️🐰

"Jagi, she's on a date with Chan, I can't ask her-"

"Hyung, I don't want any of us to get some infection before the comeback; please, she knows better than us, please, I can't wait for you to google it, just do it!"

"What if I interrupt something and-"

"YOU KNOW CHAN-HYUNG, THEY ARE NOT EVEN OUT OF THE STUDIO, FOR SURE, PLEASE!"
