Warm, so warm. Not unpleasing, surely, but so warm. She would be worried about the temperature of her surroundings if she hadn't fluttered (for as much as possible for how heavy her eyelids felt) her eyes open. There's not a lot of light, just the ghost of the rising sun infiltrating from the curtains of the hotel's room, immediately reminding her where she had fallen asleep. Warm, so warm-especially from the strong arms around her waist and the exhaling coming from the nose ducked in the juncture between her neck and shoulder. Flexing the hand that wasn't too numb to move, she found soft locks in between her fingers and a soft little sound against her throat.

From the way the hair near her nose tickled her, she supposed that if she only puckered her lips, she would probably kiss the crown of his head. That meant that the citrusy-vanilla scent (that she was really starting to get used to) was the starting of her wake.

Alice tightened her grip around Chris's shoulder without thinking about it - which made asleep Chris get closer to her, his nose briefly nuzzling over her skin, shivers moving down her limbic, not exactly awake enough to really think something about it.

Once her eyes were able to see clearly around her, Alice felt like she was about to start crying.

Chan was holding her by the waist so tightly, the skin-to-skin contact was so nice and enticing that it felt almost like a waste to wear underwear when each contact point felt so good. But what really made her stop in her tracks was the vision in front of her eyes. She needed to crane her neck a little to clearly see it, but it was worth it.

Alice never really paid much attention to people's sleep habits, surely even less to how they looked while sleeping. She spent enough nights awake next to a sleeping body to now really give attention to the other person, while tossing around and sighing, begging for Morpheus to dance with her until she would be cast under his spell. Which is a very romantic way to say that Alice had never really looked at someone while they were sleeping and thought "Oh my god". She felt so silly. What am I, a teenager, once again?

She tried to take some deep, steady breaths as she felt her heartbeat going crazy, trading her fingers over the orange strands like she would with a fuzzy blanket. She hoped that Chan's not the kind to wake up with a single touch, because she really cannot face him awake right now.

One time, during one of their morning-night video calls, when he explained how hard the practicing had been that day, (an incredibly complexed choreography, he explained, and Alice suggested him some specific stretching exercises that could've helped with the soreness), she was humming to herself while choosing something to wear for the day. Chris's face was displayed on her phone screen on the desk, just watching her do her morning routine things, eventually saying everything that came to his mind.

Until she heard a snore. When she moved closer to the desk to investigate, she was delighted and surprised to see a sleeping Chris on her screen, seemingly at peace, and knowing more or less about his sleeping schedule being not exactly the best, Alice smiled at the sight. Also, he never mentioned something about snoring, and that was teasing material for later, gold teasing material.

She ended the call and waited for him to text her to write a flat "you snore", ready to hear his voice message where he would probably giggle awkwardly and excuse himself, which usually just made her smile brightly and made her friend ask "girl- who ya fuckin'" - "nobody, fuck off".

Thinking back, Chris had made a consistent difference in her mood, considering how she would've usually felt after a break-up like that. Maybe she should thank him, like, officially. Maybe he didn't even care about it. No, he cared! He asked about it, and he even told Beck to go fuck herself the other night. Oh, he cares so much. She cupped his check without thinking, her thumb caressing lightly while she left her mind wandering. Not for long, though, as her phone buzzed on the nightstand. She thanked her dancer's flexibility for the way she managed to fling her arm behind her to snatch the phone from the nightstand and bring it to her face. Right, she had set a ring bell for this morning to get coffee with Jeongin. She'd better move.
