"I love how you told me that you're not worried about your friendships ending and now you stressing about it" Kevin's been acting weird ever since Dougie brought up our relationship it wasn't directed towards me in a way that our relationship was at stake.
It came from the fact that him and his friends have been going back and forth for days because Dougie posted a lot of subliminal quotes on his story and Kevin took offence, we all knew who they were directed towards and Dougie tried to act like he wasn't talking about him.
It wasn't hard to see that the situation was affecting him so I don't know why he keeps trying to act like it's not.
"Shit was not worrying me but niggas playing with me Carmen. Ya ass know I'm not going for that I been warned niggas about checking themselves before they say some" he smacked his lips and sat up so I was no longer laying next to him.
Letting out a sigh I also got up off the bed and moved to sit next to him "Kay I seriously need you to stop telling you okay when you really not. I can see that you're upset about what's going on with you and your friends and that's fine".
He turned to look at me and gently pushed my head to the side "I be telling you I'm cool cause I am".
Taking his hand off my face my eyebrows scrunched up from the blatant lie that just came out of his mouth a second ago "no you not. I seen the post of y'all when you was young so you have every right to be upset.
I am not going to judge you for showing your emotions Kay. We're all human" I shrugged ain't nothing better than a nigga that can be vulnerable around you like yes bae cry on my shoulder.
Especially with everything that went on with him and his father his mother told me that his father always told Kay to suppress his emotions because you not a man if you cry. Instead of being able to cry when he needed to Kay dealt with a lot of anger issues to replace his sadness.
His mother told me that he isn't as angry anymore but it became numb where you couldn't tell what he was feeling.
She even said how she begged Kay to leave the streets because there are healthier ways to deal with trauma so when Kay got locked up she felt like all her hope for getting Kevin out of that lifestyle was over.
Jackie is such a sweet lady and I wouldn't want her to keep going through all of this by herself even worse that she has a baby girl that she has to stay strong for, "why you staring at me like that?"
