Upon arriving at the new city, the group disembarked from the plane with a renewed sense of adventure. The airport was bustling with activity, a stark contrast to the stress of their earlier travel. The air was filled with the excitement of new possibilities and the anticipation of exploring a new place.
As they collected their luggage, the group shared a collective sense of relief and excitement.
"Alright, first order of business," Che said, consulting her phone, "we need to find our rental car and get to the hotel."
The group navigated through the airport, their chatter filled with plans and jokes about what they'd do first. Naz and Irr took the lead, making a game out of finding the rental car counter.
When they finally reached the counter, the friendly agent greeted them with a smile. "Welcome to Duncan! How can I assist you today?"
"Uhh.. umm a car?" Irr stated with confusion, as the unfamiliar accent filled her ears, then suddenly got pushed aside by Naz.
"Sorry about her," Naz quickly provided the reservation details, and after a few moments, they were handed the keys to a spacious SUV. The group piled into the vehicle, goofing around with each other as they navigated out of the airport and into the heart of the city.
The skyline of the city was impressive, and the buildings seemed to glow with possibilities. As they drove to their hotel, they marveled at the sights, the excitement of their new surroundings palpable.
Upon reaching the hotel, the check-in process was smooth, despite Nin almost getting into a fight with the receptionist. They soon found themselves in their rooms, eager to freshen up and get started on their exploration. The hotel was charming, with cozy rooms and a great view of the city.
After a quick regroup, they headed out to explore. Their first stop was a lively local market, where they sampled street food and soaked in the vibrant atmosphere. Laughter and excitement filled the air as they navigated through the stalls, trying new foods and picking up souvenirs.
As evening approached, they decided to find a local restaurant for dinner. They settled on a cozy spot with a great view of the city lights.
"To us!" Sye toasted, raising her glass filled with apple juice. "For making it through the madness and arriving here ready for anything."
"To us," the group echoed, their glasses clinking together.
P.s : We're muslims so... apple juice make sense, idk..
