“How is she?” Rohan asked
The doctor smiled slightly, “She'll be fine, she lost a lot of blood and few Stitches and bandages were applied and thankfully There's no major Injury she just need to rest for few days.”
A wave of relief washed over all of them as they heard the doctor’s words and Rocky’s shoulders slumped with relief, some of the tension draining from his body
Mishthi and Reena let out breath they didn’t know they were holding, and even Rohan, who was normally impassive, looked visibly relieved
“Can we see her?” Rocky asked, her voice slightly hoarse
The doctor nodded “Yes, you can see her but she's asleep right now and don't disturb her rest she needs it”
“We won't disturb her...” Reena spoke as she nodded
The doctor nodded and opened the door

All of them slowly made their way inside the room, as they walking towards bed Rocky's heart was pounding as he saw Aaira, laying quietly in the bed. She looked pale and fragile.
He hesitantly approached the bed, his eyes taking in the sight of her, as she breathed, the soft, peaceful expression on her face. He reached out his handand touched her cheek gently, feeling the warmth of her skin against his palm.

Seeing the bandaged injuries on her back he felt a pang of guilt for the way he'd behaved over the past few days and yesterday.
He pulled a chair next to the bed and sat down, his gaze never leaving her face. The room was silent, the only sound was the steady beep of the heart monitor as it monitored Aaira’s heartbeat.
He sat there for a while, watching her sleep, feeling a range of emotions. Relief that she was safe, guilt for the harshness he had shown her before, worry for her recovery and something... something else that he couldn't quite identify, that was still swirling in a tangle inside his chest
