Author's P.O.V

She could feel the comfort of soft blankets and a mattress.

Stirring around without the strength to sit up or open her eyes, she rested for a few minutes more until she heard the door open softly,as if the person entering did not wish to wake her up.

Feeling the presence come near made her nervous-she had no clue who or what to expect.

Wouldn't they realize that she looks completely different from whoever their actual relative is because unlike most cases, her appearance remains the same.

But if they did,she wouldn't be lying on the bed and left alone.

'Maybe a family member? I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be my house.'

She felt a gentle hand on her shoulder trying to wake her up as she heard a soft voice.

"Are you still asleep?"

Reluctantly, she opened her weary eyes to see a man in formal pants and beige button up shirt, a watch clasped around his left wrist.

He had charming face with nearly flawless skin, light brown hair and honeyish brown eyes. She could see slight wrinkles underneath his eyes-a sign of aging but the man was handsome without a doubt.

'He's really good looking.'

'System who is this?' She thought, hoping that it could respond within her thoughts like all those other novels because hey, she's in one too.

'That would be your father,Gilbert Wright.' She clearly heard the strangely human yet cute voice of the system.

'So...you can respond to my thoughts as well?'

'I thought you were an expert at these novels?'

Her eyelids trembled at the words, making her want to say something witty but decided to hold back. Now wasn't the time.

"Dear? Do you still feel unwell?" Her 'father' spoke, worry laced his voice as he looked at her disheveled self.

She pulled an innocent smile on her face and played off the pain in her head but he didn't look convinced. "Yes yes! I'm completely fine, just felt a little sleepy."

"But I found you unconscious on the kitchen floor."

Gilbert gazed down at his daughter, clear suspicion was in his expression as he examined her from head to toe.
