October 4th 8am
"Gotham High School"

After your 'interesting' conversation with Bruce, you were left with a sour taste in your mouth. And your sour attitude was shown all over your face.

Normally when you walked into your classes you were a small smile and said 'good morning' or 'hello' to the teachers, but today however you walk in and directly go to your desk.

You sling your backpack onto the ground and plop yourself into your seat. You still had a few more minutes until the bell rung so you decided to lay your head down.

After what felt like only thirty seconds you feel a light nudge on your head. Looking up you were greeted with a large and toothy smile from Jaime.

"Good Morning Hermosa." He says as he sits behind you. You groan and lay your head back down. "I take it you're not having a good morning." He takes out his notebook, and starts finishing up some homework he forgot about.

You lift your head and turn your body where you were facing him, and rest your head onto his desk. "You have no idea." You grab one of Jaime's spare pencils and start doodling on a blank sheet of paper.

"You wanna tell me what happened?" He asks without looking towards you. You groan again, but before anything could be said the bell rings and the rest of the students file into class.

"Maybe later." You say as you turn around and get ready for the most boring math lesson of your life.

Not even 10 minutes into class you completely zone out and fall asleep. No one decided to wake you however—believing you needed the rest.

You enjoyed your nap so much that you didn't even hear the bell ring. It took Jaime shaking you awake for you to fully realize class was over.

You sigh and grab your things and start your way to your next class, "Miss Y/n." You stop in your tracks before leaving—turning around you see your teacher beckoning you over to her desk.

"Yes ma'am?" You already knew what was going to happen, you were going to get in trouble for sleeping.

"I know you have to get to your next class, but I just wanted to make sure that you were okay." Miss Opal had taken off your glasses, making sure that you knew she was concerned.

"Yes ma'am I'm fine." You were really shocked that she checked on you—you were used to teachers scolding you for sleeping through their class.

"I know it's only been some time that I've been your teacher, but I want you to know that this is a safe place. You can come to me about anything, and if you need a break or anything just let me know." "I always wanna make sure my students are in a happy and healthy environment." Her words shocked you really, due to you not having the best experience with teachers.

"Yes ma'am I understand thank you." She gives you a bright smile and sends you on your way.

As you walked out the door you notice Jaime waiting for you. "You know you could have went ahead, you're going to be late for class." You scolded him for his actions. He shrugged his shoulders, "So what. I'd rather be with you than in class." You grow giddy at his statement, but not wanting him to grow an ego you shove him.

"Shut up." You walk ahead of him, about to reach the door of your second class. "I'm being serious Y/n." You feel his hand grab hold of yours. At this point you both were standing outside of your class, the bell still hadn't rung you had some time to mingle.

"I'd rather be with you any time of the day." You roll your eyes and try to pull your hand away, but his grip just tightens.

"Let me take you out." Your eyes enlarge and your eyebrows shoot up. "Like a date?" You ask, a part of you hoped that it was a date, but a small part of you hoped it wasn't but you couldn't think why.
