Chapter 12

Kayal's pov :

No one in the home made any comments after Mugilan's outroar. We started getting ready for the function as we have reception in the evening. I wore a red color pattu saree and he wore a red shirt paired with dhoti. We came down after getting ready and waited for his parents. As they came out my mother law nodded her head at me and headed out in our car.

Soon we reached the venue. We walked in together and exchanged pleasantries. I could feel the judgmental stared from few but I didn't mind them. After few moments Mugil went to help out his brothers and cousins while I was left out with my mother in law. I was little bit scared now because we are sitting in between all those old aunties.

" Kalavathi, it's been already five years of marriage and don't start with your lecture of saying your kids are young and they will have kids when they want " an aunty began much to my irritation.

" I'm still saying the same akka my son and my daughter in law will have kids when they feel they are ready for it and stop behaving like some 60's ladies... come on Kavya I need to introduce to someone " my MIL shut her mouth and pulled me from there. I was stunned when she spoke such words.

" I can taunt you and scold you but I will not let anyone say anything about you. Remember you are still my daughter in law so I cannot speak low of you infront of other but I will speak to you on your face if I want " she said rudely. I held her hand stopping her from walking.  I hugged her tightly and mumbled thank you making sure she heard it.

" Go find  your husband and enjoy with youngsters rather than these old ladies including me " she said shooing me away from there as fast as she could.  I walked all through the mandap and finally found all of them in a room sitting on the floor laughing their ass out.

" come in Anni. We have been asking Anna for since a long time. He said that you are his gem so he has hidden you from our eyes " a guy among spoke while others laughed at his comment. I stood there awkwardly not knowing what to do.

" come here Kayal " Mugil called me out . I walked towards him and sat beside him. He gave me his heart warming smile and held my hand in his.

" this guy is still in his honeymoon phase guys " another guy spoke . I tried to pull out my hand my Mugil wasn't letting me to.

" yeah... and what is your problem in that " Mugil questioned him back.

" you enjoy da machan, this guy is just jealous of you " another one said.

Suddenly a little came and said everyone is being called out for family photo. After taking the family pictures we had food and returned back to home.

There were leftover plates in the sink so I decided to wash them off after changing clothes. I came down and started washing them. The lights were  off in my in-laws room and Mugil came down and sat on the slab.

" what are you doing here " I asked him.

" giving you company so that I can take you back to room very soon " he said.

" can't you sleep without doing it " I asked in a hushed tone.

" nope " he said smiling ear to ear making me scold him.  I was still washing the plates when  he pulled me to him.

" leave me Mugil.. if someone... " before I could finish he pulled me into into the kiss. He started kissing me fiercely holding my hands in his so that I wouldn't push him away. He inserted his tounge into mine and started to get more indulged into it.

But we pulled away on hearing the glass sound....
