Chapter 17

Kayal's pov :

I decided to go for grocery shopping to the newly opened grocery shop which is like 5 kilometers away from my home. But still I decided to go there as it would make me feel at peace. I walked out and got into the bus travelling in all rush. It felt good deep inside to be in a normal life.

After reaching the stop I walked ahead to reach the shop. As I saw it in the reels it was very big. It had a big resting lounge where we can take a break when we are tired of standing too long, a big ice-cream truck relinquishing our dry throats. I was walking along the aisle picking up the veggies in the basket I had dangling in my hand. I turned around when I heard my name being called.

A sweet smile that adorned my face turned into frown seeing Vivek along a women, obviously it would be his wife whatelse can I expect from such kind of person. Anger is the only emotion I could feel seeing his face. I turned  around and started walking ahead not minding him.

" Kayalvizhi " I sighed hearing my name from him. I felt disgusted when he took my name.

" What do you want now " I asked irritatedly turning around to face him.

" Can we have a talk for a moment " he asked.

" no... not at all, I'm done all the shits related to you long back. So please excuse me " I told him and walked away. Seeing him my mood totally got spoiled. I didn't want to continue shopping anymore. I booked a cab to return back to our apartment. I ordered the groceries online and started cooking.

In the evening I went to the our neighbors home for chit-chatting . As usual we started chatting when her door bell rang.

" wait aunty I will check who it is " saying that I sprinted out smiling. My smile vanished as I saw the face which wished never to see again in my life. Again it's Vivek and his wife.

" who is it Kayalvizhi " aunty called.

" I don't know aunty. Maybe someone whom you might know "  I said getting my mood upset again.

" Hi aunty. We have come here newly. So thought of getting introduced and give this sweet to you " his wife said smiling.

" Oh okay okay.. welcome dear. If you need any help ask us. This is Kayalvizhi , she is also our neighbor she stays here with her husband... Kayal ma get the sweet from her look my hands are totally dirty " Aunty said. I dejectedly forwarded my hand , she placed the sweet in my hand and smiled at me.

" door number 456 is this lady's home if you ever need anything  you can ask her. If she refuses just tell me I will hit her and make her do it " aunty said.

" aunty.. " I whined while they chuckled.

" you both come in and wait in the couch  here. Kayal ma come with me for  a moment " she invited them in making them comfortable and she took me in and made me take some flowers and sindoor . She washed her hands.

" Here take it  " aunty said  to them. They smiled and took it from them. I controlled myself from rolling my eyes and spatting bad words at them. I want to take out all my pent up anger out on him but I know right now  it's not the right time to behave in such a way.

" aunty... seems like you have let Jimmy roam around the whole apartment " I heard my husband's voice.  He came in smiling with Jimmy , the great dog in his hand. I hate dogs.

" see ... you know very well how much your wife hates dogs so when she came in she unleashed him " aunty said said in a complaining way.  He smiled hearing her words and looked at me.

" don't even think about it " I said understand his looks.

" Jimmy chellam ( sort of endearment ) how about you go and give a sweet kiss to the person who unleashed you " he said sweetly to that dog. He let him down as the he understood the task he ran towards me.

" no no... stay away from me " I went behind aunty to hold her.

" Jimmy go away " aunty told him but he didn't listen to her words and came to me. I ran to Mugil and hid behind him. That idiot was laughing like a maniac seeing my situation. I pulled him hair.

" let me go women " he said trying  pry off my hands.

" you ask that dog to stop " I said moving him here and there behind him keeping his as my shield as the dog came near me.

" Jimmy baby stop it... we will torture her  later.. . Ahhhh " he cried as I pulled his hair more hearing his words. Jimmy listened to him and left from there.....
