Chapter 8 Well there goes her head

Me and Annabeth walked into Medusa's.

I grabbed her hand knowing this would be hard for her because her mom was Athena.

"I got your back okay?"

"Yea okay thank you"

"Welcome sly bunny"

"Dumb fox" she said smirking

"Thanks for coming" Percy said to us

I was still angry at him so I didn't even respond.

"It's not the same for you as it is for me." AB said

"Why?" He asked

"Good gods Percy I might as well call you seaweed brain!"

"You are concerned I would hold a grudge against you simply because you are a daughter of Athena you shouldn't be." Medusa said "We aren't our parents after all"

"Thank you!" I said "Like seriously"

Everyone looked at me

"What?"

"Really?" AB asked

-Time Jump-

We hid in the basement.

"I got a plan" I said

"You have a plan?" Percy asked

"You have a real brain?" I asked

"Whatever" he said

"Okay Grover is in the sky already but AB has her invisibility cap so she can put that on Medusa and she can't turn us to stone"

"We just need to ambush her" AB said

"Yea I was getting to that part but basically"

"Okay"

I grabbed Percy's arm and dragged him behind a wooden box.

"We aren't our parents until we choose to be. You a daughter of a self righteous mother who chose self righteous for herself. You, you could have shown your father what it means to stand up for the ones you love. And you a daughter of an awful wife, mother, and woman-"

"SHUT THE FUCK UP" I shouted

"Stand up"

She told me. I closed my eyes and summoned a sword to my grasp but she didn't see it.

She grabbed my chin "you are worthless and will die at the hand of a monster like your sister-"

I swung my anger coursing through my swing.

I heard a wet slosh and rolling.

"Fucking bitch" I said out loud

"Jesus Christ! Adonis did you do that with your eyes closed?" Percy asked

Annabeth popped out from behind the other box and nodded.  

I took AB's hat and put it on Medusa's head

"We can use it to take out Alecto"

"Yeah, right" Grover said

"Okay who's coming with me?"

"I will" Percy volunteered

We walked upstairs and I made my way outside.

Alecto flew up and I took off Annabeth's hat and Alecto turned to stone as expected.

We both came back in and went straight downstairs.

"Let's ship her head to Olympus" Percy said excitedly

"WHAT!?" Me AB and Grover said

"Hermes express we can ship her head to Olympus like a battery send it back from where it came"

"Okay this is not only a stupid idea but an impertinent one as well"

"I am impertinent" he said looking impressed with himself

"I know that but we aren't"

"We as in you included?" AB asked

"Okay Annabeth and Grover aren't but I don't agree with this"

"That's okay I'll sign it"
