"Where am I? Ugh…My head…” I say, well, stammer really.
“Syna, if you cooperate, you'll be safe.” Silas says as Tona grabs my hand.
“Syna sweetie, listen to Silas. He knows what's best. If you refuse to cooperate he may have to…” Tona stops.
“Tona, that's enough. I believe she knows what I'll do to her if she does not cooperate.” Silas states, a flicker of pure evilness in his eyes. It was then that I realized I was propped up on Lino. I prop myself up, blushing with embarrassment.
“Let us go!” Lino pleads, grabbing the back of my head and making me lay down. Silas marches toward us, his beautiful pure black eyes fixed on Lino.
“Don't come any closer!” I cry, in pain and in desperation.
“Syna sweetie, what did I tell you about listening to Silas? I think I recall telling you not to argue with him.” Tona comes to me, lifts me in her arms like one might hold a sleeping infant, and carries me to the nearest couch. She lays my head on the softest pillow I have ever felt and wraps me up in a warm blanket covered with my family’s symbol, a peace sign with doves flying over them.
“Stay here if you know what's good for you.” Tona warns, but with enough care that I start to think she actually cares. To tell you the truth, I couldn't move if I tried. I was in so much pain and so comfortable that I started to drift off to sleep, but forced myself to stay awake. I watched Silas creep over to Lino.
“Now that I have Syna, what's stopping me from slitting your throat?” Silas inquired, putting his pocket knife against Lino’s throat.
“All the humanity that is left in you.” Lino barley gasps out. Silas draws the knife back, but stabs Lino’s leg instead.
“Tona, keep putting this knife in his leg till I get back. If you get bored, switch to the heart. Vampires can come back from the dead. It would be hilarious.” Silas turns to face me.
“I need to talk to you. Alone.” Silas comes to the couch and helps me to my feet. My head feels like a hundred plastic hammers are trying to split it open, and succeeding. Even in pain, I was too stunned and dazed to say anything. Even when Silas took his hand off my arm and interlocked his fingers with mine. I could feel my face burn, but I still stayed silent. But the worst part is I actually enjoyed it. After that, we just walked in silence.
All my friends have a necklace concealed with Lonya’s magic. Lonya being an angel, her magic has the ability to heal, along with many other abilities. I don't have a necklace like that, because my own magic is just as powerful as hers, if not, mine is a bit more powerful. But unlike Silas, I don't abuse or misuse my power. His mother was a witch, and his father, well, his father is a half vampire, one quarter human and one quarter blood angel. How do I know this? My parents threw steaks at his mother. No, wait, that doesn't sound quite right…Oh!...My parents burned his mother at the stake. Silas got more human than that, but he has power that he does not know of. Unless…No…Vex Venom hadn't of unlocked his power…Not yet at least.
As we were walking down a flight of stairs, I saw paintings on the wall. I see Marie, Jake, and one other girl whom I had no idea even existed. Marie was so pretty. Teal and rich purple hair, always wore the color blue, violet-red lips, really baby pink cheeks, and in this picture, she is wearing gray eyeshadow. A real contrast to my bright green and purple hair, pink and cerulean eyes, and my choice of clothing: Teal t-shirt, plum and violet jeans and baby blue heels. I despise makeup and never wear it. Though I can't tell you who Silas got his good-looks from, Marie or his father, Jake. Either way, He looks as good as ever. We turn onto a corridor that leads to a living room type thingy. We then enter the living room and sit down on the couch.
“Syna, I must talk to you. It's about your memories.” He sounds desperate, and when he says “memories”, that stupid annoying song starts playing. I threw my hands to my ears and squeezed my eyes shut. Through my hands, I hear Silas telling someone named Alexa to play Imagine Dragons. He lightly touched his hand to mine, signaling I could remove them from my ears.
“Syna, I can return what you have lost, but you must help me.” He sounds nervous, and he’s looking at the ground while fiddling with his thumbs.
“What is it?” I immediately regretted asking, for what came out of his mouth was exactly what I didn't want to hear.
“Do you know who killed my mother? If so, who? My second question is, what am I?” I take in a breath.
“Silas, I’m not ready to tell you that. You must understand.” I tell him as I teleport to Lino. Tona looks at me, like she cares about him and doesn't want to keep stabbing him and feels better once I stop her. I quickly heal Lino and he teleports to my house. He then takes his leave, wishing me the best.
