Great. Now I have to actually read the books to find out who killed my mother. What I am doesn't matter right now. It would've just been convenient for me to know. I run my finger along the titles of books. I found one titled “Traitors: Who They Were and How They Died”. Looks promising. I flip to the Table of Contents. No luck. I flip to the Index. I see my last name marked on page one hundred and seventy eight. I flip there and begin reading.
“Last night, a trial was taken place behind the old church ruins. The defendant, Marie Euqinu Raymond is charged with treason. The judges, Rubyrose Citsejam and Retsnom Citsejam guided this court.
‘You call me a traitor because I love Jake? If so, you shouldn't be judging. To judge, you must know the difference between right and wrong. You don't deserve the authority to judge, because this is wrong. What is right, is my love and affection for Jake and Silas. Even in Heaven or in Hell, my love and affection for them will only grow stronger. Please, you guys are better than this. You may call me a traitor but Silas is innocent. Spare him.’
Using this statement, the judges have concluded that Marie was proven guilty and to be burned at the stake. Her son, Silas, will have a close eye kept on him as much as possible. That eye will be that of Syna’s. The judge's daughter and youngest child. Silas’s memory will be revoked, only to the point where he won't know who killed his mother. Syna’s memories will also be removed, when this is all over.”
Syna’s parents killed my mother, Syna was spying on me and she didn't even know it. All that time I spent just joking around with them, laughing with Syna, just maddens me more. I now have a reason to kill them all. Not like I needed one in the first place, but still. “LINO!” I shout, forgetting he left. He shows up in an instant. I had put a receiver on him, so he could hear me if I wanted him to.
“You and Tona must go get Lonya. If you don't absolutely need to resort to violence, don't. I want her unharmed. One wrong move and I’ll snap your neck. A merciful death, considering everything that you have done. Got it?” Lino nods, then leaves with Tona without another word.
Twelve hours later, they come back with Lonya soaring behind them. When Lonya sees me, she immediately stops.
“Do I know you?” She inquires, a puzzled look on her face.
“Yes, you do. But that's not the point here. Lino, come forward.” I say as he begins moving closer, a face of pain written clearly all over. Before I feel any more pity, I take my pocket knife and slide it gracefully across his throat. He drops, dead. Lonya shrieks and Tonalé makes sure he never comes back.
“Monster!” Lonya yells as she tries to fly away. Tona stops her, and I speak.
“Lonya, listen. If you don't want to end up like your friend here, I suggest you hear what I have to say.” I pause, waiting.
“I will never listen to you!” She yells at me. With no emotion, I step over and I decapitate her. I then put her head in a box, cut Lino’s head off and put that in the box. I then mail it to Syna. She will be in for a hell of a surprise.
