The woman at the desk gave Gabriel the room key, while Nathalie ends the call. Gabriel signals for Nathalie to follow him, so she does.

They get in the elevator, and Nathalie was going to press a button when she had to ask,
"What floor are the rooms?" Nathalie asks him. Gabriels face turned a light shade of pink, knowing he had only asked for one room.
"Sixth floor." He murmured.

She felt around and pressed the sixth floor button and in a couple of seconds, they arrived. Gabriel looked at the hotel key, grabbed Nathalies hand for guidance, and began to walk around the floor, searching for the number.

Once he found the right room, he inserted the key, opened the door, and told Nathalie to go in.
"You only got one room?"
"Yes, we are only supposed to be staying for a little bit anyways, so I figured to just get one room." Gabriel said trying to make up an excuse. Nathalie believed him, and found her way towards the bed. She was so tired she just fell onto the bed, without bothering to change her clothes. Gabriel chuckled and stared at her.

Nathalie dreamt of what her life would have been like if Gabe had been born. If she had bever gone blind. She saw both of them together at the park, when he was about six years old. His first day of school. But her happy dream soon shifted into a horrid nightmare. A tall man with a gun pointed at Gabe stood before them. Then a gunshot. Gabes blood covered Nathalie, and tears fell down her face. She looked up to see who had killed her child.

Gabriel.

Nathalie woke up shaking and crying. She tried to get up, but a strong force was pulling her from doing so. Gabriel had her tight in his arms. She wanted to yell but she felt like there was no voice inside of her. He put his hand to her cheek and made her turn to face him.

He stared at her tear stained face for a second and his heart broke for her.
"What's wrong, my love?"
He asked her sweetly, but with a hint of worry in his voice.

She knew there was no need to be afraid of him.

Nathalie tried to speak, but nothing came out. So instead, she just dug her face into his chest, and Gabriel rubbed her back, trying to calm her down. Soon, she fell asleep in his arms.

Gabriel was startled awake when he felt her stir in his arms. He made sure not to jump, so that he wouldn't scare her. Still, only a couple seconds later, she fluttered her eyes open.

"Are you feeling better?"
She nodded. Nathalies legs were hooked around his waist, and her arms around his neck.

Gabriel brought her in for a small kiss on this lips. Nathalie, shocked faced him with her glossy eyes. The taste of her lips was amazing, and he wanted to pull her back in for a deeper kiss, but seeing Nathalies face, he didn't know if he should. He was shocked at Nathalies next move.

She brought her lips close to his, and kissed him. Although surprised, he almost instantly kissed her back, both extremely annoying their long, passionate kiss.

Gabriel pulled away first and stared at her with need.
"How I missed the taste of your lips, my dear Nath."
She smiled.
"So did I. Correct me if I'm wrong but... I think we both want it to go further than this. I just don't think it's the right time. Considering I can't see and all. But I'm also afraid. My past with men hasn't, well... hasn't been good, to say the least..."

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry because I know I haven't made it seem like you could trust me. But please, please know that you can. I also know that I've hurt you in the past. A lot. But now, I would never hurt you. I wouldn't do anything to you, without you wanting me to do so. I wouldn't do anything to harm you. You are the most amazing woman I've ever met. I would do everything I'm my power to protect you. Because I am in love with you."

Nathalie could say nothing. She only imagined what his face would have looked like while he said that. Tears fell slowly out of her eyes. She had been waiting for years for him to say such things to her. She wanted to see him say it. But she couldn't see anything at all.

Gabriel watched her cry and knew he had to find a way to regain her sight. He had to. He couldn't stand seeing the woman he loved in so much pain. It hurt him too.

Gabriel sat in front of a computer, while trying to find any way that would be sure to cure Nathalies sight. Luckily, he found a procedure that was almost guaranteed to work. It was extremely pricey, but Gabriel would pay it anyways. Anything to help his Nathalie.

He walked over to where Nathalie was brushing her hair in front of the bathroom mirror. He whispered to alert her that he was behind her. Gabriel stared at her reflection in the mirror and the way she smiled when she heard him behind her. He took the brush out of her hands and brushed her hair.

"Thank you, my back was hurting from brushing my hair so long."
He put her hands to his face so she could tell that he was smiling. She smiled too.

When he finished brushing her hair, and it was nice and silky, he decided it was time to tell her about the surgery that could help her regain her sight. He helped her walk over to the bed, and they both sat down.

"Nathalie?"
"Yes?"

Gabriel was extremely nervous to tell her about the surgery. And he didn't even know why. He was only trying to help her, so she shouldn't take it badly. But still, the fear in his gut was extremely overwhelming. He wanted to tell her, but couldn't find the right way to do so. He hated how his mind was betraying him.

He hated how nervous he got when he started at her almost hypnotizing blue eyes, athough a bit foggy now. He panicked, got up, and planted a small and delicate kiss on her lips. Nathalie had a confused expression on her face. She heard him get up from the bed. And start to walk away somewhere.

"Do you want some coffee?"
