[MYSTIC FALLS, 2010]
2x6- Plan B

I've always meant to visit Mystic Falls. My aunt Sharla lived there many centuries ago, and sent me postcards from the location. It feels surreal to be here and see the lovely clock tower and sign that reads Mystic Grill.

The town square is quite nice. I watch people walk down the streets and I know that I am waking towards the school.

I was turned as an eighteen year old; I can definitely pass as a Junior in high school. When I first enter the school grounds, I see a boy with fluffy dark hair eye me.

He jogs over, and I offer him a smile. "Hey, are you new here?" he asks.

"Yes. My name is Farrah Havelock."

"Tyler Lockwood. Did you realize that school just let out?"

My heart sinks, realizing my stupidity. I haven't even been looking at the time, and I've messed up my first day of human high school. "Damn it."

"There's a Masquerade ball tomorrow. Some volunteers are coming back to my house to help set up. Would you be interested?"

I shrug. I don't really want to do this, but it seems like it might be a good way to fit in. "Sure, why not?"

Tyler offers me the passenger seat in his car, and I can't help but notice that something seems off about him. I can't quite tell though. His last name...

Lockwood.

I realize the significance. My fiancé from the 1700s was Harrison Lockwood. Is it possible that they are related? And if they are, does that make Tyler a werewolf too?

I try to brush away the negative thoughts as he drives me to his house, that actually turns out to be an entire mansion.

Once we arrive there, Tyler is instantly greeted by who I assume to be two of his friends. One of them is a blonde boy with big blue eyes, and the other...

Katherine? The girl standing in front of me looks exactly like Katherine Pierce. Straight brunette hair and a slim build. The only difference is the sweet smile on her face.

"This is Elena and Matt. Guys, this is Farrah. She's new."

"Elena," I mumble. Hm.

I shake Elena's hands, my eyes following hers. "You look familiar."

"I get that a lot," she laughs softly.

"Alright. Let's head inside to sort some stuff out," Tyler decides.

I follow behind them, my eyes mostly lingering on   Elena. She had a different name and supposedly a different personality, but she looks identical to Katherine Pierce.

Then it clicks. Elena is a doppelgänger to Katherine, just like how Katherine was a doppelgänger to Tatia Petrova.

If Elena is a doppelgänger, Klaus will want her for his ritual.

Matt looks over at Elena. "So where is Caroline?"

"She had something else to do," Elena answers.

"Is she seeing someone?"

Elena sighs. "Matt, come on. No, she's not."

I couldn't believe my eyes when a familiar dirty blonde entered the room. Stefan Salvatore is walking towards us with a box of masks. Elena looks at him, and Tyler follows behind Stefan.

How is Stefan here?! I met him in 1922 when he was a ripper alongside Klaus. I feel a pit in my stomach, terrified to death that Klaus is here in Mystic Falls.

"Anyone seen Mason?"

"He, uh, he took off. He said he wasn't sure when he'd be back."

"Stefan?" I question.

Elena furrows a brow as she looks at me. "How do you already know his name?"

"I... I met him earlier. Do you mind if we have a word?"

I walk outside, Stefan Salvatore following behind me. I turn around, looking him up and down furiously. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm sorry? Who are you?"

"Funny joke, ripper. We met centuries ago."

"You're a vampire?"

"Dont go blabbing it everywhere. Do you really not remember me?"

I don't understand how he could forget his time with Klaus. The time he almost handed me over to Klaus and the time he dated Rebekah. How can he pretend that it never happened? I just barely escaped them.

"No."

"I'm Farrah Havelock."

"Some of my ripper periods were big black outs, Farrah. I likely wouldn't remember you."

Stefan walks away, and I'm left stunned as Elena follows after him. I sigh and head back into the entryway of the mansion with Matt and Tyler. This isn't how I expected to spend my first day in Mystic Falls.

"So, uh, what's their deal?" I ask, kneeling down and beginning to sort through a box of masks.

Matt looks over at me. "They're together, but it's complicated."

I sigh, looking back down at the box where I find an elegant red mask with soft feathers. "Mind if I take one of these for tomorrow?"

Tyler shrugs. "Sure, why not? We have plenty. Where are you from, Farrah?"

I can't tell them where I really am from. I can't explain that I've been on the run from my Original vampire ex boyfriend for the last hundreds of years. "I move around a lot."

An older woman with brown hair just to her shoulders walks in and grins when she sees Tyler, Matt, and I.

"Hey, Ty. It's nice to see you, Matt!" She turns to me with a smile. "And who is this?"

Tyler sets his box down and stands up. "Mom, this is Farrah Havelock. She just moved here, and Matt and I were just helping her feel welcome. Farrah, this is my mom and also the Mayor."

I stand up and nod surprisingly. "It's very nice to meet you, Ms. Lockwood."

"It's always nice to have a new face in town." She turns to Tyler. "Tyler, honey, I think your friends should start heading home. We are mostly prepared for tomorrow."

I prepare to leave, so many questions still swirling in my head. A Petrova doppelgänger being in Mystic Falls is dangerous, and I wasn't expecting to reunite with Stefan Salvatore and have him not remember me. And Tyler is potentially a werewolf...

There is more to this town that I anticipated.
