Jungkook could swear that they could hear his heart thumping. That's how quiet the car ride was. He sat there, as far apart from him as possible, with his knees together and his hands clasped on his lap. He sneaks a glimpse at the man beside him every now and then.

His face was deadpan as usual. As opposed to himself who's obviously tensed, he was comfortably lounged with his legs spread and his elbow leaned on the window. Aside from telling him to get in, he didn't utter any more words.

Jungkook didn't have an idea as to where they're going. He was suddenly struck by a thought. A scene from a BL manhwa he once read came to him unbidden. He wandered his eyes around the inside of the car.

Where are they taking me? What will they do to me?

He took another glance at Kim Taehyung. He's tall and looks muscular enough. But he thought he's old so maybe he could overpower him. The quiet secretary is lanky. The only problem is the burly driver they have with him. He hardly gulped.

Taehyung didn't know if Jungkook really thinks he's being subtle. He's quite sure that he's having weird thoughts in his head, seeing him gulp hardly. Moreover, he could see his eyeballs frantically moving in his peripheral vision. A discreet smirk formed on one side of his lips.

He's like an open book.

He saw his nose flared. And then, scrunched.

Musk. I hate the smell of musk.

Jungkook's lips protruded.

Taehyung snickered internally.

They stopped in front of the city's cultural museum.

"Why?" Jungkook mumbled, thinking out loud.

He turned and saw Taehyung getting off. The door on his side was opened by the driver.

"Sir." He courteously held the door.

The secretary waited for him while his boss walked ahead to enter the building without even sparing him a look.

"This way, sir."

He followed him in. Everyone in the place stopped to gawk at him. The guards, the receptionist, the guides and the visitors. His sight caught a woman who seemed like she was throwing daggers at him with her glare. Her eyes were puffy.

I knew it. She's one of his side chicks!

But Jungkook isn't one to cave in with ill treatments like that so he held his head high and showed her who he is. He scanned her from head to foot with a sneer and a lifted eyebrow.

He was guided to an office on the museum's second floor. He spotted the name on the door.

Kim Taehyung. Director.

His lips jutted.

He's quite accomplished for a thirty four year old.

Taehyung was already seated on a couch when he came in. He meekly sat down in front of him on another one adjacent to it.

"Is there something you'd like to drink?" His secretary asked.

"Do you have a beer?"

His forehead creased. He slightly looked back to his boss who quietly let out a breath the same time he did.

"Soda?"

"That we have. I'll get some for you."

"Thanks."

Taehyung watched Jungkook's dimples deepen when he smiled at him. The younger noticed him staring. He straightened and attempted to look at him before failing, leading him to wander his eyes anywhere but him. Minjae returned with a glass of cold soda in hand. He laid it on the table in between them.
