Authors pov:

"Jungkook, you can come outside now." Jimin murmured surprising the hidden Jungkook, who took hesitant steps out of the door. Jimin observed him and could see the dried marks of tears on his cheeks.

"I-i am sorry."

"Explain"

"J-jimin I was forced. Yesterday night when I went to my house, I confronted dad about this situation. He said that he already warned me but I didn't listen. But I told him that I love you. A-and I won't let him play dirty. I was about to come back to you b-but he said that my m-mom is a-alive"

"What?" Jimin was shocked to hear the latest news. He can't believe how unpredictable this day could be.

"Y-yes. He said if I want to meet mom then I have to stand against you today. A-and if I marry Lisa then he will let me meet mom." Jimin was lost on his words.

"Jimin I am sorry. I know I did wrong with you. I shouldn't have listened to dad. I am sorry." Jungkook fell on his knees begging jimin to forgive him.

"No don't say it like that. You did the right thing. It's your mom stupid. I know the feeling of losing mom. You are lucky that you will see her again." Jimin sat in front of the other man holding onto his hands.

"But you-"

"Don't worry about me jungkook. I have no one here. Even my friends have turned their faces from me. I will search for another job. Or I will go back. Don't regret choosing your mom over me jungkook. I am fine." Jimin passed a faint smile.

"No you are not fine jimin. You are not. I know you are hurt. I can-" A hand on jungkooks mouth stopped him to speak further.

"Shh. No more words jungkook. Listen to me. The time spent with you was beautiful. I-i loved you but still we couldn't be one. But that's okay. You are getting Lisa. She will be a great wife. And at the end you are finally getting to meet your mom. What can be better than that. This might be the last time I am meeting you. B-but promise me. Promise me that in the next life you will be mine. And I will be yours. Promise me that next time we will be one. No one will come between us." Jimin said crying, Jungkooks eyes got wet listening to him. He wants him in this life.

"B-but you will regret this promise later jimin. After some years you will get married, will have a beautiful family and I know later you will forget me. And it is a good thing. I want your husband to give you these promises, not me." Jungkooks heart ached thinking about the future. But unfortunately it's going to happen in a way or other.

"No! I won't marry anyone else. It's you jungkook. I love you. I might not show it openly as you but my heart aches for you. I can't imagine a future without you. So please.."

"You will be single for your whole life?" Jungkook was left speechless from jimins statement. He can't believe jimin would really do that for him.

"Then will I jimin. I will marry you. I want to spend my whole life with you. I don't care about anyone else. Let's get out of this web and be ourselves."

"No kookie. I told you my reasons. It doesn't matter that she doesn't want to keep our friendship now but she still is the same for me. It's just a misunderstanding. And your mom is waiting for you kookie. She has been waiting for you for years. Don't make her wait more."

"Jimin" Jungkook hugged jimin, crying on his shoulder.

"It's okay kookie. Our destiny would have different plans. Let's just go with the flow, hmm?" The taller kept crying under jimins hold. He can't bear leaving jimin.

"J-jimin- I l-love you" He said while kissing jimins forehead, then both of his eyes, then his cheeks and lastly one on his nose.

"I love you too!" Jimin said boldly taking jungkook aback. He can't believe they are so close yet so far.

"Here. This is the ring I brought for you. Keep it please." Jungkook took out a red box from his coat. Inside was a diamond ring with an infinity sign.

"I can't keep it, jungkook. It is so expensive."

"No, you have to take it. For the sake of our love. Please, i request you." Jungkook took out the ring from the box and waited for jimin to present his hand. Hesitantly jimin kept his hand on jungkook's. The taller put the ring on jimins ring finger and later kissed it.

"Jimin I don't want you to suffer because of me. I want you to forget me and enjoy your life. Get married and adopt kids. Please do it. Don't limit yourself because of me. A beautiful future is waiting for you. I hope the best for you." Jungkook again kissed the ring in jimins hand.

"Let's see. I think I should take my leave now."

"Stay a little longer..." Jungkook hugged jimin tightly, enjoying his fragrance and thinking about the magical time they spent together. They remained in the same position for a few minutes before jimin broke the hug.

"It's the time.." He stood up from jungkook's embrace, not before kissing his eyes and forehead.

"Goodbye kookie! Don't forget me. And enjoy your life." Jimin waved a cute goodbye to jungkook before walking down the stairs.

Jungkook sat there not believing what just happened. He is not going to see jimin again ever again. He will not be able to listen to his giggles ever again. He will not be able to listen to those rants ever again. He will not be able to love someone else ever again. He will not be the same jungkook ever again~
