You were crouched on the sidewalk, caressing a cat you stumbled upon. You finished all of your work at the Akademia and you were walking home. It was quite dark, but you were used to it, since there was always just so much work, it's impossible to finish early.

Majority of people slept in the dormitory of the Akademia, but you had a family, even if using the dorms would be come in very handy, you still preferred to keep living with your parents. It was always refreshing leave that stressful environment, take a walk and come home to see different faces for once. Not that you didn't care they were the faces of your parents, you cared a loton the contrary, even if they were your adoptive parents. You don't remember your previous parents, so you don't actually ever feel like you were adopted and you were so grateful for that. Your current parents never made you feel any different.

Stroking the cat with your fingers, your lips curled into a soft smile. The cat wanted to be pet, you noticed as she came up to you and rubbed their back against your feet while you were walking. So cute...you thought.

"Poor thing, are you hungry?" You hummed as if the animal would reply back to you. The cat just meowed and snapped her head to the sudden noise of harsh footsteps that came from a far, making you turn your head in the same direction. Your eyes caught a blond girl approaching you and she was with a....floating small human? You blinked as they walked closer to you, they look foreign...

"Excuse me, may we take a look to that cat?"
She asked.

"O-of course!" You said as you let go of the cat and stood straight. You felt embarrassed, thinking they might be the owner.

"That must be Rozan!" The blonde girl told her subordinate.

"Quick! Use the language Sareh described before she runs off!" The little human yelled. You noticed how high pitched her voice was, wondering if the blonde girl stayed with her all day. How do her ears survive?

"Oh right! Let me see..." She held her chin, thinking before she-

"Meow meow meow, meow meow meow."

Meowed to the cat? You slightly rose your eyebrows as you saw the cat nod and go to them.

"What a polite cat..." the floating human said.

You rose your head.
"I'm sorry for touching her, are you the owner?"

"Nope! We had a commission to bring this lost cat back to the owner." The girl smiled and her companion nodded.

"By the way, you made it a lot easier for us! Thank you!" It spoke.
"That's true, we should give you a part of the share." The girl said.

"Oh- no! I just happened to pass by, really, I won't accept!" You said, waving my hands in front of me.
