"Huh?"
"You heard me, I can't find them, the animals, they all disappeared!"
"Did you check everywhere?"
"I did! It's impossible for them to escape, they were all kept locked in their cage."
Cyno lifted his hand to stroke his chin "That means..."
"That someone touched them."
Cyno frowned, confused by the thought that popped up in his head.
"Last time I remember, only you and y/n have acces to the laboratory."
Tighnari rose his head, staring at Cyno with a more serious expression. He knew he was thinking the same thing.
"I thought she would be here."
"She should still be sleeping, let's check her room."
Tighnari nodded as he turned around, Cyno following him. They paused in front of the guest room, Tighnari holding the doorknob. He leaned in, pressing his ear on the wooden door to hear anything, but he shook his head at Cyno as he heard nothing.
Cyno lifted his arm up to knock on your door, learning his lesson from last time... "Y/n... are you awake?"
After hearing no response for another minute, they looked at each other. "We're coming in." Tighnari warned before he pushed the door open.
Looking around, they were met with an unmade empty bed. Your pyjamas displayed messily on the ground, they understood that you clearly left somewhere. Something caught Cyno's attention.
"We should ask my patients if they saw her." Tighnari proposed before he saw Cyno crouch down and pick something up. It was a paper that was crunched up like a ball and thrown on the ground.
"Hey...how about touch her stuff without her consent."
Cyno looked up from the paper, staring at Tighnari with a blank face. He was right,, he still doubted whether he it was justified or not.
After a few seconds of reconsideration, he looked down on the paper again and unfolded it, despite his friend's comment. His eyes scanned the paper and Tighnari noticed him frown. Giving in his curiosity as well, he walked closer to Cyno and positioned himself to read what happened to be a letter in his hands.
