Nilou danced like a fairy who descended straight from heaven, her smooth and elegant movements mesmerising everyone. You were sat next to Cyno, your eyes glued onto her. She was glowing as she went from one place to another, you could never have enough. You were convinced that with that effortless beauty, she could make anyone on teyvat fall for her without trying. Such elegance deserved to be looked at.
You were so immersed that you didn't notice Cyno next to you. He too, was enjoying the show, but he had a rather bored look on his face. Your mind suddenly went to him while still watching. Surely, he must be infatuated by her flawlessness as well. Surely, he must be swayed right now as well. You couldn't help but wonder, how does he look at her? Would he look at you the way he looked at her?
Turning your head to the side, you stared at his facial features. His fierce red eyes that could cut air, his beautiful tanned skin, his gorgeous hair that fell perfectly on his cheeks, his soft lips you feel drawn to. You regretted not responding back to his kiss a few hours ago.
But, he was not looking at you, he was looking at the Nilou's dancing figure that shone bright. You slightly sighed and took your eyes off him and to the stage again. You wished you were the one on that stage, the one he was looking at, the one in the center of his attention.
Unknown to you, Cyno had long taken his eyes off the stage to look at you. He fooled you into thinking he hadn't noticed you staring at him earlier. He wondered what you were thinking, why you had looked at him instead of at the stage. Perhaps you wanted to say something to him, he wanted to ask, but decided against it for the sake of leaving you be.
Soon, Nilou's performance came to an end and people stood up from their seats to clap with their hands. You smiled at her cheekily, seeing her bow down and deliver her greetings. She then got off the stage and didn't hesitate to approach you. Running in your direction, she cought you off guard when she wrapped her arms around you adn pulled you in a hug. It took a while for you to process before you smiled and hugged her back.
"You did amazing Nilou!"
"Thank you so much for coming!" She pulled back.
"It was good indeed." Cyno nodded.
"Thank you, phew...it's finally over, I can finally relax!" She lifted her face at you. "Uh, oh! Are those who I think they are?!"
"Huh?" You turned around to look at where she was looking and couldn't help but widen your eyes when you recognised the people walking towards you.
"Been a long time." Alhaitham said as he stood next to you, Kaveh following behind him.
