I wake up to screaming coming from next door. I look around frantically to see what's going on. Walking up to my window I see Tobias standing against the wall with, Marcus? Whipping him with a bloodstained belt. I gasp in horror and wait for him to stop. While he is whipping him I hear Marcus saying "This is for your own good!" "Nobody will ever love you! You worthless piece of s***!" I fall to my knees and start sobbing uncontrollably, trying hard to breathe. I try to wipe away the hot tears on my cheeks but when I do only fresh ones replace them. Quickly, and quietly ,I pull myself together and sit until the screaming stops. When it does I run into my bathroom and grab a FirstAid kit. I push open my window and step onto the tree. Hastily I walk across it trying not to loose my balance. When I'm on the other side I ,thankfully , notice his window is open. I shove my hand through the small one to open the big one and climb in, landing with a soft thud on the carpet. Quickly I look out the window and notice the car speeding off into the distance. I open my FirstAid kit and notice the big figure on the floor curled up tightly into a ball. I whisper "Toby it's going to be ok." Closely I look at his back ,old scars that are slightly fading now , bloody wounds that are deep and freshly made mark his back. I grab the disinfectant wipes and dab the wounds lightly wiping up all the blood. I then grab the roll of bandage and wrap it around his stomach and back covering the deep gnashes. I grab his arms and pull his body over to his bed. First I manage to get the upper part of his body onto his bed the lift his legs slowly afterwards. I start to walk back to the window when I hear "Tris, stay please." I nod even though he can't see me. I clamber into his bed and he wraps his arms around me carefully.
He whispers in my ear" goodnight Tris, I love you." But I'm too far gone to reply back ,so I think. I love you too.
