Chapter 26: Capturing Rain

Takeda and Jin climb up the stairs of Kitana Kahn's palace to meet with Jacqui and Cassie. Cassie is speaking with Sonya over her communication piece, next to a large table which seems to where Y/N, Mileena and Kitana Kahn and their advisors would meet to discuss affairs.

Cassie: The Kuatan Jungle?

Sonya: With at least two divisions of Tarkatans. They're on the move constantly to avoid detection.

Jacqui checks something on her communications device, which appears to be a map of sorts.

Jacqui: That's not far. Maybe two hundred kilometers.

Sonya: You know what to do.

Cassie: Yes ma'am.

Sonya: Good luck. Blade out.

Y/N, Mileena, Kitana, Jade, D'Vorah and Kotal walk up to Team S-F from the other side of the table.

Jade: You have new information? From Earthrealm?

Cassie: Kano talked. Gave us the details on Rain's location. He has the amulet, but he's got a lot of protection.

Mileena: We will strike immediately.

D'Vorah: Perhaps a two-pronged approach. The army will engage Rain- distract him- while This One retrieves the amulet.

Cassie: Not alone. "This One's" coming with.

D'Vorah: Stealth is of the essence.

Cassie: Did you not hear me?

D'Vorah: You may assist in the main strike-

Y/N: D'Vorah. We will grant their request and I will be going along too.

Kitana: What? No, it's too dangerous.

Y/N: If we don't capture Rain right now, he will return. We must stop him now. I promise, I'll be fine.

Y/N kisses Kitana's hand as he leaves with Cassie and D'Vorah.

20 Years Ago...

After Shao Kahn's death, Mileena became the new Empress of Outworld. During the beginning of her reign, she forced the Kytinn D'Vorah to kneel down and kiss her boot and kicked D'Vorah's jaw when she attempted to do so, mockingly declaring D'Vorah her humble servant while being delighted she did not fight back. Mileena's rule proves worse and more tyrannical than her father's and she was labeled the Mad Empress, driving Outworld to the brink of disaster. Until, Y/N is talking with Kitana.

Y/N: Kitana, its time, you need to talk with Mileena.

Kitana: Accompany me?

Y/N nods as the two enter the throne room and sees Mileena. Y/N steps to the side as both Kitana and Mileena talked. Y/N watches how Kitana spoke to her, she seemed passionate in what she was saying and could see the conflict on Mileena's face. Kitana then placed her hand on Mileena's shoulder saying something as Mileena instantly replies back. That's when the two hugged. Y/N smiles as Jade joins Y/N and sees the two.

Y/N: Well, they are on their way.

1 Year Later...

After Kitana talked with Mileena, Kitana accepted Mileena as her sister as she even helped her rule Outworld firmly but fairly while Y/N decided to stay in Outworld with Franklin and Valeria which Mileena offered them a guest room to use as Y/N continued to be Spider-Man cleaning the streets and taking down anyone who tried to take the throne from Mileena. Soon after, Y/N was summoned to the throne room. Y/N is walking through the halls as he reaches the doors to the throne room. He silently creaks it open enough to see Mileena on the throne with Kitana and Jade standing before her.
