"GET ON YOUR KNEES!" he screamed. I dropped to my knees, hands on my head but before I could fully comprehend what was happening, something unexpected happened One of Mr. Peter's men approached, asking, "What's going on here?" He stood behind Ethan, his presence tense and suspicious."I caught this kid trying to break the door and rescue that bitch. He's a traitor, not one of us," Ethan replied, his voice steady

The man's eyes narrowed, and in that split second, Ethan made his move. Without hesitation he turned the gun on the man and shot him in the head. Blood splattered everywhere .Ethan's eyes met mine, a strange calmness replacing the earlier fear then threw the gun to the ground. "Come on, dude, get up. Let's break the door, grab Sasha, and get out of here."

I was still frozen, my mouth hanging open as I stared at the dead man. "But... you... how...?" Words failed me as I tried to process what just happened.Ethan sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I saw him coming, so I told Thomas's men to hide. I didn't have a choice. I had to act like I was going to shoot you it was the only way to keep us both alive."

"But you killed him," I whispered, still in shock, my voice barely audible.

"Yeah," Ethan admitted "But if I hadn't, he would've killed us. Now, get up! We've got to break the damn door before they come to check on that gunshot."

He reached out, grabbing my arm and pulling me to my feet. We quickly resumed our mission. We took a few steps back and then charged forward together, slamming our shoulders into the door with all the force we could muster. The wood groaned under the impact, splintering and cracking until finally, it gave way.

I rushed toward Sasha, finding her awake, Her hands were bound tightly behind her back, and a strip of tape covered her mouth.
Without wasting a moment, I pulled a small knife from my pocket and quickly cut through the ropes binding her wrists. I then carefully peeled the tape from her mouth, trying not to hurt her As soon as she was free, She jumped into my arms, hugging me tightly, tears streaming down her face.

"Lucas," she sobbed, Her body shook with the force of her emotions, and I held her tightly, feeling the warmth of her tears soaking through my shirt.

"Honey, my pretty girl," I whispered, holding her close and inhaling the familiar scent of her hair. I rested my forehead against hers. "I was so afraid of losing you. Don't worry, you're safe now."For a moment, it was just the two of us, lost in each other's embrace. But the moment was shattered when Ethan's voice cut through the air like a knife. "We need to get out of here. Can you finish your lovefest outside?"

I grabbed Sasha's hand. "Come on, we need to go," I urged, leading her toward the door."Ahh, damn it," she hissed, stumbling as we moved forward. I turned just in time to catch her before she fell."What's wrong? Are you okay? Are you dizzy?" I asked, panic creeping into my voice as I noticed the bandage wrapped around her foot.

"They punished me for trying to escape," she explained, her voice strained. "They They cut my foot, but it's not a big injury. I'll be fine."

"COME ON , GUYS , WE NEED TO GO !" Ethan's voice echoed down the corridor, urgency clear in his tone. There was no time to waste. I crouched down, offering my back to Sasha. "Jump on," I instructed. She hesitated for only a second before climbing onto my back, her arms wrapping around my shoulders.

Once she was secure, I told her, "There's a gun in my pocket. Grab it and hold on to it-just in case."She reached into my pocket, pulling out the gun and holding it tightly in her hand. With her on my back, I started running down the corridor, my heart racing as the sound of footsteps grew louder behind us.
