“Ow!” Daisy exclaimed while May was trying to wrap her bruised wrists
“You sure you don’t wanna bench this one out?” May said trying to be more gentle
“I should be asking you that, how’s the leg?” she glared at Daisy who was hiding a sly smile. The girl turned the table around because they both knew neither of them would sit this mission down even if they were quite bruised or had a hole in the leg. The glare turned into a serious look into Daisy’s eyes, and May felt a little tug on her heart. She felt guilty because she was just now realizing how much Daisy and her were alike. She didn't want Daisy to turn out to be like her. May was scared that if they were so much alike it was more likely that Daisy was hurting too, May sighed and said
“But if it becomes too much?”
“-I’ll get out, I know, same goes for you…Mom” Daisy replied before skipping out of the bunk maybe a little too quickly.
May just stared at the door and couldn't help but smile. Maybe she did deserve to raise a child.
“Agent May, Doctor Simmons is requesting your presence in the control room”

Jemma Simmons is leading the mission. Time Travelling is a little out of Coulson’s department or May’s. May observed Simmons do her work and made sure all equipment was working all right and all agents were in their positions. May can't help but feel proud. Not too long ago these girls– her girls were like scared little puppies and now they are shoving spears into their enemy's throats.
“proud momma bear huh” Coulson snickered which earned an elbow to his gut. Coulson’s grunt made Jemma look over her shoulder to see her pseudo-parents.
“Agent May! I almost forgot to tell you! I understand that I can't possibly prepare anyone for time travel because I know it’s…a little…might be too much but… uhm… if you ever… come across with your other self… I recommend that you never touch her.” Jemma tried to instruct clearly but still stumbled on her words.
“Can I ask why?”
“I mean it's already weird that you're seeing yourself but we– Fitz and I have a theory that well you and your other self are the same people but you both have different experiences and she knows something and she lived something that you didn't so that's quite complicated and we are not sure what would happen we just want you and well us to avoid it… although in Daisy’s and Coulson’s situation, it's not the same because their other selves are not there anymore.” Jemma tried to explain as clearly as she could.
“Alright, well I think, we’re all ready,” Coulson said squeezing both May’s and Jemma’s shoulder

Her mission was simple: get in, get the hard drive, get out, kill whoever comes your way. Okay, killing might be a little too much but the point is no one should stop you from completing the mission– not even yourself. So imagine May’s dismay when she found her other self guarding the said hard drive.
