"The mission we have all been waiting for," Chris had his tablet in his hand as he kept swiping on the screen, the members were listening carefully as he explained the risky plan. It was no secret that they'd break into the base but being able to move quickly so they wouldn't get shot was the problem.
No matter how they broke in there were going to be guards swarming the place, Chris had found a way to do the least damage even if the stakes were high.
"We hunt those who hunt us," Chris restated as he turned to his members, he had the most serious face out of all of them. "If you have to kill them by all means do it but only if your life depends on it."
"Question," Fallon spoke up as there was now silence in the office leaving room for her to speak. "Why aren't we instructed to kill all?"
"We don't know if they'll come back harder, we need to make sure Myles has security wrapped around this house and I know there are still imperfections he has to fix. I don't want this team to blow in my face, we need to play it safe now especially because Lucas will be searching for us." Chris explained moving along in the slideshow.
"All hands on deck mission?" Lloyd asked turning to his brother with a stern look, they looked so similar in terms of seriousness.
"Yes, we're going all in so there is no room for mistakes, got it?" He eyed everyone especially Fallon which sent shivers down her spine as their eyes met. She understood what he meant, she couldn't have a simple slip-up like a wardrobe malfunction sabotage them. The nerves crept up her arm making her hold herself in a way.
Chris continued to switch the slides to discuss all the profiles again and they had to remember all the names again if they had forgotten last time as a refresher: Colin, Scott, Malia, Jean, Lydia, Isaac, Derek, Erwin, Sasha, Sam, Mikey, and Cody.
It was such a scary thought to think that this many people would be joining the gang, Fallon had a positive attitude towards it but felt terrified. It would be like relearning how to connect with everyone in the group and she had just made peace with Kian! She held her fist tight in her lap as her knuckles turned white, she had a whole fight inside her head about this entire situation. If the new members come in that leaves her almost little to no time to be a better fighter and she didn't want to be in the training room with all of them! The past insecurities were resurfacing from the deep pit in her stomach and she didn't know how to stop them, she hadn't noticed her stomach beginning to hurt until Chris called out to her.
"Fallon, are you doing okay there?" He questioned her as the members all turned to look at her, thankfully in a caring way.
She looked up with her eyes widening and swallowed her emotions back down her stomach, "I'm fine, continue." It's like her entire face turned white because when she glanced to the side of the room seeing herself in the mirror she looked like a ghost. The color was stripped from her face no wonder they all looked at her like something was wrong!
"You don't look great," Lloyd nudged her side as Chris continued explaining the mission, she knew she should've been paying attention to all of it but her mind was clouding her judgment. She was so lost in thought that she didn't even notice Lloyd staring at her and the other boys seemed to stare at the pair.
"Guys, I'm fine seriously-" She swatted her hands as a hot flash hit her face, the boy's eyes were fixated on her every move now and it was hard to continue the meeting. She excused herself as she walked up to get a cup of water from the sidebar, Chris kept talking, and the meeting continued, making her sigh out of relief. She made her way back to the couch and made sure to keep her typical smile on her face finally paying attention. There was no way she could back down now, she was in too deep to try to wiggle her way out of this gang. She wanted to be on the field learning new experiences every week, so why was she feeling discouraged now?
