Chris pushed her off and instead pinned her to the ground as his glare intensified, he was starting to get pissed off at her but something in him held him back from spitting out vile things to her. It's like he had this soft spot for her and he was starting to realize maybe that's why she bothered him so much. He knew that if she wasn't his and ended up disappearing- If something had happened to her he knew he couldn't live with himself.
"Stop it, I'm not fighting you," He warned again with a stern look replacing his glare.
"I'm a good fighter, let me show you I can be sent on missions!" Her eyes softened as a tear fell out of her eye again. "I can be useful."
"I know you are," He sighed before sitting back up keeping her hands in his grip, she didn't mind being held from the hands because she knew at that moment he wouldn't hurt her. "I know you are- Damn it."
Her expression finally turned somewhat more sympathetic for the first time in a long time, she tilted her head to get a better look at him since he was facing down. His hold on her finally weakened and he dropped her hands, they sat close in front of each other in silence.
"Hey, you know I don't think I'm good at communicating my feelings at times... I know how you feel," Fallon sighed as Chris looked up with a troubled look.
"You have the best poker face out of all the boys," Chris sent her a cheeky smile. "You're incredible."
"Really?" She questioned, a small smile appeared on her face as another tear fell down her cheek. "I'm so sorry, I don't know why I keep crying."
"You hold so much inside, that's why." He placed a gentle hand on her cheek to wipe the tear away. "I want to apologize for what I said earlier, you weren't supposed to hear and-"
"So you'd rather talk behind my back?" She raised an eyebrow earning a frown from Chris.
"What I meant to say back there was different from what I worded," He admitted. "I never know how to say the right things, what I want to say in my mind turns completely different from what comes out of my mouth it's a bad habit."
"Then what did you want to say? Take your time," She scooted towards the wall and laid her back against it leaving him time to process.
"I..." He started staring blankly at the floor before turning to her, he tried to find the words but he didn't want to reveal too much of himself.
"Come on, Chris," She encouraged him. "Two months ago we had a deep talk just like this, you know you could tell me anything."
"I don't want you to see me differently afterward, I'll word it in a way that you can understand as a member of my group." He nodded.
"I guess," She frowned, she didn't understand why she had hoped he'd finally open up to her more since two months wasn't enough for her to completely get to know him. The truth is, she had always felt nervous around him since he was the big boss, she hung out with Lloyd because Lloyd was more welcoming and positive compared to Chris.
The way Chris carried himself around the mansion was scary and all the boys knew it, with this fear in themselves they knew they couldn't talk back to their boss or try to betray him because he would come after them. Fallon wanted to know what it was like on the missions in person, she was very much scared of the loud gunshots but staying at home like she was quarantined for two months was starting to make her lose her mind. She thought she could get through it because back then it was her dream to be in total isolation with her mother but now that she's gone and has no chance of coming back, she needed a new family.
