CHAPTER 3

It was the afternoon dismissal when Natan saw the love of his life again.

In the hallway near the guidance office, Natan was walking with Bradley, and Bella was on the other side of the hallway with her annoying sidekick.

They were about to approach each other!

As Bella approached them, Natan immediately smiled and tried to look cute. He intentionally showed his dimple, hoping Bella would fall for him instantly.

Fall for me, baby.

“Hi, baby!” He waved when their eyes met.

Bella rolled her eyes. “Here comes the pest again,” she muttered, pulling Stephanie along and pretending to turn away. But Natan blocked their path.

“Hey, baby, why are you avoiding me again?” he said, looking pitiful.

“Leeches really stick like glue,” Stephanie remarked. “She doesn’t want you, yet you keep pushing yourself. You're pathetic.”

“Bumpkin, let's not join them, okay?” Bradley interjected, grabbing Stephanie’s arm and dragging her away.

“What the hell, Brad?” she protested, trying to break free. “What do you think you’re doing?! Let go of me!”

“No, baby.”

“Yuck.”

“What kind of nonsense is this again, Natan?” Bella put her hands on her hips. People who were supposed to pass through the hallway were now taking detours. “Aren’t you really going to leave me alone?”

But Natan just smiled widely. “Of course not! Why would I leave you alone, my love?”

Bella pretended to gag. “I don’t like architects, okay? So, leave me alone! I'm tired of your fucking games!”

He pouted. “Baby, come on!”

“Don’t baby me! Idiot!” she said, marching away.

Natan was left there, watching Bella walk away.

Tsh. My charm didn’t work this time! Oh well, maybe next time.

“Brad! Let’s go!” he called his friend, who was standing a bit further away, talking to Bella’s sidekick.

“Coming!” Bradley said, running over to him. “How’s the courting going?”

Natan grimaced. “She’s still playing hard to get.”

Bradley laughed. “You deserve it.”

“Fuck you.”

They were about to walk out of the gate when Natan’s attention was caught by Bella’s brother, who was laughing and playing pranks with his friends in the vacant football field. It was not far from the hallway where Natan and Bradley were standing.

Natan’s blood boiled as he remembered what Bella’s brother had told him earlier in the bathroom.

Grr! I’ll get back at you, devil.

“Brad, you go ahead to the gate. I need to pee,” he lied.

“Okay, hurry up,” Bradley said, walking ahead.

Natan didn't hesitate to approach Brian, who was currently didn't notice his presence. Good.

When Brian noticed his presence, Brian looked at him curiously, raising an eyebrow as Natan stopped in front of him.

"What?" he asked, puzzled.

Natan smiled. Revenge is a must.

"Hi, baby!" Natan teased, grinning. As Brian's eyebrows furrowed, Natan became even more excited about what he was going to do. "You want some kiss?"

Before Brian could respond, Natan leaned down and kissed him on the cheek.

Mission accomplished!

When he lifted his lips from his cheek, he stepped back and watched Brian's jaw drop.

Take the embarrassment, dude! Natan thought, grinning to himself, and winked at the devil. Even after he stepped back and walked out of the gate, the grin never left his face.

"Hey, what are you grinning about?" Bradley asked, puzzled.

"Nothing," he replied, starting to walk.

His friend followed. "You're keeping secrets from me now?!"

Natan just laughed.

Brian was still in the shocked and his mouth agape. He still couldn't believe what had just happened.

Did Natan just kiss him? Even if it was just on the cheek, it was still a kiss!

Is he crazy?! And in front of my friends!

Brian felt intense embarrassment at that moment. When he glanced at his two friends who stops playing pranks and now unmoving, they both had teasing looks on their faces.

"I-I don't know why he did that, too, okay?" he said truthfully to them. "It's nothing."

But the two didn't relent. Fortunately, they didn't tease him with words. But their looks were still mocking!

Geez.

Brian just stand there, embarrassed.
