CHAPTER 15

When Brian told Natan he wanted to court him, Natan did not know what to say.

What could he even say? Just last week, they barely talked, and when they did, it was always nothing but trouble. And now, Brian suddenly tells him he wants to court him.

Is he crazy?!

He makes decisions in life way too fast. Like he does not even think them through.

"Did you even think before you asked me that?" Natan sarcastically asked Brian. Sure, he might be attracted to him, but he still thought rationally. And the rational thing to do was decline his request.

Natan saw Brian’s smile slowly fade. Then he bit his lip and looked down. "Actually, I have been thinking about this all night long." He turned to Natan with a serious look. "Natan, I wanted to court you because I am fucking attracted to you. Yes, fucking attracted to a guy even though I am fucking straight. Ironic, right?" He looked up at the sky and closed his eyes before looking back at Natan. "Natan, ever since I kissed you, you have been running through my head non-stop. Your lips are the damn reason why I am like this."

Why does it feel like this is somehow my fault? Natan thought.

Brian continued, "you have been making my blood boil ever since you started courting my sister, you know? My sister is only twenty and new to this. Yeah, NBSB! And yet here you are, trying to court her. That is the reason why I was there, trying to stop you." He confessed. "You might be bad for her life, or you might ruin her sanity, that is why I was doing my best to block your moves, dude. Fuck it. I was just trying to protect my innocent sister."

Natan just stood there, trying to figure out why Brian was saying all of this to him. Why Brian was confessing his actions. Why Bella was even being dragged into Brian courting him. Seriously, he is trying to court Natan, so why the hell is Bella getting involved too? Is this guy stupid?

"But Natan, for fuck’s sake. That damn text!" Brian said loudly. "That damn fucking text is what got me here, confused about my feelings. Questioning my sanity, my sexuality. Because that damn fucking text made me wonder if you were only courting Bella because of me. Because you fucking loved me all along."

Natan knew exactly what Brian was talking about. It was the wrong message he had sent to Brian’s number because he thought it was Bella’s.

Natan could not take it anymore. He spoke up. "Are you out of your mind? I am courting Bella because I like her. And now you are inserting yourself into the picture? The nerve. That is one fucked up imagination."

Brian did not back down. "Then why the hell did you tell me you want me, huh?"

"It was a mistaken text!" Natan confessed, making Brian freeze.

Brian did not say a word. He just stood there, eyes wide, as if something had just clicked in his head.

Then he spoke in disbelief. "It was supposed to be sent to my sister?"

Damn.

Now Natan was doomed. It was supposed to be a secret. Not that it should even be a big deal, but he did not admit it right away because he knew Brian would ruin his plans if he said that text was for Bella and not for him.

That day when Brian told him to stop making moves toward his younger sister, Natan tried to court Bella as discreetly as possible. So that if Brian ever tried to stop him, at least he would have already caught Bella’s attention before that could happen.

But now, there was no need to lie anymore. He had already said it. Might as well let it all out.

"So what if it was?" Natan challenged.

When Natan said those words, Brian’s expression suddenly changed.

Natan did not know if what he saw in Brian’s eyes was pain. But he ignored it. Why would Brian even be hurt by what he said? He should not be hurt.

Brian stepped back. He gulped, then turned to look at the wall beside him. "So it was all a lie." Brian then looked back at Natan and stared him straight in the eye. "You never really liked me." Then he walked toward Natan.

Natan was about to step back, but Brian walked right past him and kept going until he left the place.

Natan stayed where he was. He could not move. He could not process what just happened.

What the hell was that?

A/N - this chapter is too short when I wrote it in the the local language, however, I will be making this chapter longer in the future. I will add bunch of scenes too about Natan and Brian flirting with each other, and more cheesy and hilarious interactions.
