song: Taylor Swift - you're losing me

Today was wonderful.

It was perfect if I'm being honest.

Something about today would be enjoyable and I couldn't wait. Because today would be the day Benson got what he deserves.

Today would be the day I'd ruin him socially and in public at the big even that we'd attend together. And what made it even perfect was the fact his family would be there too.

Maybe it was a sign that I'd maybe get some answers as well. But it didn't matter because all I cared about was that I'd get what I also wanted.

Freedom.

This morning before I left for work Benson was sitting on the couch wearing his usual suit. I didn't sleep in the same room with him and that seemed to bother him.

I could still recall the whole conversation.

"Mikaili you didn't sleep with me last night" Benson's voice rang through my ears as I pick up an apple and a banana "I don't like that you didn't sleep with me" he whined that caused me to roll my eyes.

"Maybe you should have called Charlotte for some company Benson" he winced at my choice of words that caused a slight victory smile on my end. Running a hand through his chestnut hair, he turned around to look me in the eyes.

"Can we not speak about this please. I'd like to have this discussion maybe after the party dear"

Groaning slightly, I only shook my head before walking out the door.

"We'll see about that"

That was all I could remember from that moment. I know there was more but that was very unnecessary details.

Mia and Avery weren't seen today so I suppose they ended up having lot's of fun at his house.

Doctor Francis was walking in through the large door behind me and I couldn't help but catch up and walk besides him.

"Hello" I mumbled as I tried to walk at a similar pace as him. Something about men and walking fast with their long legs always irritated me.

He barely noticed me as I stood besides him strolling down the long hallway.

Taken back, his eyes widened slightly before going back to his emotionless face.

"Dr Rivers, good morning to you too" he said in his usual monotone. We didn't speak much other then walking over to the elevator and heading up to the same ground floor.

He eyed me up and down like he could sense my unusual happiness, and I didn't know if that was good or bad.

"Everything alright Miss Rivers? You seem strangely happy today" I didn't mind his sudden question for it didn't bother me. I actually felt more happy that somebody acknowledged it.

"Let's just say, good things will be happening today" I spoke loud enough for the both of us to hear, and a light chuckle could be heard from behind me.
