"Y'all play too much man." Sage laughed as he laughed at Karina doing the stanky leg down the aisle. Karina laughed and walked back to her starting position. It was 9 am and they were at wedding rehearsal.
Karina's bridesmaids were Ashley, Janiyah, and Royalty while Chris's groomsmen were Sage, Hoody, and Keyvon, with Sage as his best man. They were all there with Pastor Ronnie at church in a different city.
"Okay okay. I'm done playing." Karina laughed as she grabbed onto Damien and Kevon's arm. She wanted both of them to walk her down the aisle since they were both her dad's and she loved them dearly. Karina, Key, and Kevon all hung out after Thanksgiving at Karina's family in 2023 and since then they've all grown closer like they were when they were kids. Of course it wasn't easy at times but they were in a really good place and the future looked bright for the three.
Karina slowly walked down the aisle to Chris and Pastor Ronnie with a smile, but when Chris crossed his eyes and made a face she ended up laughing. They continued to walk down the aisle and they gave her to Pastor Ronnie.
They rehearsed for about an hour and a half, leaving everyone to go their separate ways to get pampered and relaxed for the big event two days from now.
"I can't believe y'all are getting married. Well I can but you know what I mean." Janiyah said as she soaked her toes in the water at the nail salon.
"No seriously! I literally remember like it was yesterday when you told us you were so called friends with him." Ashley said thinking back to Christmas in Georgia. She smiled as she looked at her nails and then to Karina who was also soaking her feet in the water.
"Y'all got on my damn nerves that day." Karina chuckled thinking back to them bombarding her with questions about Chris.
"No but remember their first kiss?! The way she was describing that kiss I knew then they was gon be something serious." Janiyah said causing them to laugh.
"Not too much on me. I didn't even hype it up for real." Karina said and Janiyah put her lips to the side and smirked knowing Karina was laying.
"Gir- 'myyyy God in Heaven.' Yeaaaa you was doing the most." They all burst into laughter and shook their heads. The ladies were getting their nails and toes done for the rehearsal dinner and for the wedding two days from now. As they talked and reminisced, they couldn't help but get emotional.
"I- I'm just so happy for you Karina. I really am." Ashley said as she wiped her cheek using her shoulders since she was getting her nails done. "Like we all know Chris was special and that y'all were going to be together...even in the midst of bullshit."
