"Yea I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Vonnie for 20 minutes ago but I just got here. Is there anyway she can still see me?" Karina asked the lady at the front desk.

"Let me check her schedule, give me a minute." She said as she clicked the computer mouse a few times and typed a few words. "You are in luck. You were her last appointment for the day so go ahead and sign in cause she's still here." Karina let out a sigh of relief and smiled as she signed in.

Dr.Vonnie had been her doctor since she got to LA to teach. She was a family friend of her dad, Kevon, that she saw a lot when she was growing up but once her dad left so did Dr.Vonnie. Karina didn't even know Dr.V moved to California but when she got here, they saw each other at a grocery store and immediately recognized each other.

Karina sat down in the office and scrolled on her phone looking at new hairstyles she wanted to try. In all honesty, she wanted to cut her hair and just start over the process. Her hair was so thick and kinky and she just did not like to deal with it. As she looked at different hairstyles and screenshotted them for later, her name was called. Karina grabbed her purse and followed the lady to the back.

"Nice to see you Ms.Wright, here's the cup for your urine test. Make sure you write your name on the side, put it in the window and then go to room 104 when you are done." Karina nodded her head and went into the bathroom to handle her business. Once she was done, she went into her room and sat on the bed and waited for Dr.V.

"Long time no see Karina!" Dr. Vonnie said walking into the room. Karina chuckled lightly.

"Dr.V I don't be having no reason to come here." She said laughing.

"Oh damn so i'm not important enough to come visit?!" She placed her hand on her chest. "That's foul sis that's foul." They both laughed and Dr. V sat down. "But what brings you in today?"

"My body has just been feeling weird lately. Like I'm always tired and my bowel movements have changed. I usually use the bathroom twice maybe three times a day depending on my activity and what i'm eating but lately...once a day if i'm lucky." Dr.Vonnie typed this on her computer.

"Anything else feeling or looking different? Any changes to your period?"

"Well Chris tells me my boobs look bigger but I don't see it. I feel like they've always looked like this." Karina said looking down at her boobs. Dr.V laughed and typed what she said. "And for my period...just spotting instead of a flow. Is my diet the cause of this?" Karina asked. She has been eating more wings lately and a new loaded fry recipe Chris wanted her to do. They've eaten that so much in the last month and she was planning on making it again today after this.

"Your urine sample tests should be done by now so let me start there before we move forward." Karina nodded as Dr.V walked out the room. 5 minutes later, Dr.V came back in with a smile on her face.

"My pee is fine?! My body is okay?!" Karina asked thinking that maybe her body was just acting weird.

"Your pee is fine and your body is more than okay." She said with the same smile on her face.

"Great! So what's wrong with me?"

"Nothing is wrong...you're just pregnant." Karina's smile dropped and she looked at Dr. V who was still smiling. Karina laughed and waved off Dr.V.
