"Aye ma?! MA?!" Zaire yelled as he walked into the house.

"Stop yelling Z!" Karina said loudly as she followed his voice. She stopped walking once she saw him and Ever in the kitchen looking for something to eat. "What have I told you about all that yelling in here? And E get off my counters!"

"You always fussing." Zaire said as he poured juice into a glass.

"That's what I'm saying." Ever mumbled.

"Yea yea yea whatever." Karina picked up Zaire's glass and took a sip from it causing him to smack his lips.

"Ight you doing too much now. Ion know where yo mouth been." Karina pinched his arm and he winced. Ever laughed and sat at the island.

"How was school?" Karina asked as she poured popcorn in a bowl.

"Mannnn ma let me tell you right." Zaire said and Karina mentally prepared herself for whatever was about to come out of his mouth. "So remember I was telling you and E about ole girl right? Girl from my math class?"

"Mhmm I remember." Karina nodded and ate her popcorn while Ever shook his head, already knowing where this was about to go.

"Bet listen right, I heard in first period that her and ole dude broke up-"

"The football player?!" Karina said shocked.

"Yea the football player. So boom, once I heard that I knew it was time to make my move." Karina tucked in her lips and Ever laughed at her facial expression. "So boom-"

"How many times you gon say that?" Karina asked with a chuckle.

"Nigga wanna be Duke Dennis so bad." Ever said and Karina laughed and covered her mouth.

"What do y'all know about Duke Dennis?"

"Can we get back to the story?" Zaire said looking annoyed. Karina and Ever nodded and he smiled. "Ight so-" he stopped and looked at Karina who was about to laugh. "So anyways, I'm geeked. I planning out how Imma approach her and everything when we got to lunch. Lunch come and Me and E walk in and I'm-" Zaire puts his hand on his eyebrows and looks around causing Karina to laugh at his theatrics. "looking around and I see her."

"What she had on today?" Karina said still eating her popcorn.

"Ma...when I tell you she is BAD. Like bro." He rubbed his hand down his face. "She had on this black long sleeve body suit, fye red cardigan with red shoes to match and her white socks were scrunched. Then she had on some silver hoops- silver looks good on her skin- and a few necklaces." Karina smiled and nodded her head. "So I spot her and I'm walking towards her and I'm smiling rubbing my hands together and before I could get any closer...her ex walk up."

"What?! Where he come from?" Karina asked, very invested in the story.

"Mannnn if I knew I would tell you mama. So I keep my cool and just walk past them and grabbed my food. E was sitting down talking with Tiara, you know that nigga get all soft when he around her." Ever turned to look at him and he was about to flip him off but Karina cleared her throat. Ever looked at Karina and  did a close mouth grin before going back to doing what he was doing.
