"It's him! He's the Thief! Arrest him!" - M

Yelled Mighty as he pointed at Sonic, the crowd pulling out their weapons and pointing them at the blue hedgehog.

"What?! I've never been here before!" - So

"That's right! You ain't from around theese parts and that's why it ain't hard to believe you one of them bandits!" - M

Sonic took a few steps back from Shadow who was reaching for his revolver that was in his belt, when touching it whispering the following quiet enough that only Sonic hears it.

"Spindash." - Sh

Sonic made a challenging grin as he glanced between the large group of people and Shadow as he raised his revolver, pointing it at the blue hedgehog's head. Sonic jumped up and with a smooth transition he used spindash to knock the large group out of the way, running out the door. Shadow pulled the trigger right after Sonic was out from the bullet's reach, running after him, continuously firing at him but missing intentionally as he ran out of town.

"What the hell's going on?" - So

He asked himself as he walked in the hot weather. At some point as he walked he spotted a pair of familiar faces on horsebacks approaching him. It was Tails and Knuckles.

"Boss! There yee are!- Wait where did yee outfit go?-" - T

Asked the fox as he looked demeaningly at the blue hedgehog. The other one just giggled to himself with a devious grin, Tails hitting Knuckles in the side with his elbow.

"Ouch!" - K

Yelled out the gray porcupine before they both turned to the blue hedgehog. The blue hedgehog was in tears at the sight of his friends, immediately hopping on Tails horse and hugging him tightly as a few tears left his eyes.

"Buddy! You don't know how worried I was that you might have not made it out alive!" - So

"Boss! What the hell yee doin'? Let me go! And made it out of where? We didn't go in town, that was only on yee Boss." - T

As he listened to his friend he slowly backed up upon realising a few things. Tails had a heavy accent and he also had a slight attitude unlike the friend Sonic once knew.

"Tails... Since when do you have such a heavy accent?" - So

Tails just looked judgingly at the blue hedgehog.

"What do yee mean accent? The one with a heavy accent here is yee!"  - T

Sonic got off Tail's horse and kept glancing between Knuckles and Tails as he came to realisation.

"Why do you have an attitude though when usually you-" - So

"What the hell yee yappin' 'bout? Stop yee nonsense! Hop in saddle and let's get back to the camp! We can get yee some clothes there before yee quills turn crispy cause of the sun!" - T

Spoke cheerfully Knuckles as he tossed a leash to Sonic that was tied to a third horse. The blue hedgehog got on the horse and so the three headed to a camp. In the camp Sonic got dressed in fitting attire but even so, he refused to take off his communication device and just chose to hide it under his jacket's sleeve.

As the time passed the night has already fallen on the three. Sonic sat by a campfire, looking at the fire as his mind has traced off. He looked at the device on his wrist, letting out a sigh.

"Aye Boss! What yee looking at?" - T

Asked the fox as he sat down next to the blue hedgehog.

"Nothing, just watching the fire." - So

Sonic said as he pulled down the sleeve of his jacket, staring at the fire.

"Why yee in a bad mood? We escaped the town with no problem!" - T

"I just remembered something from my past while looking at the fire." - So

Tails curiously turned to Sonic with a smile as he sat closer, showing his interest.

"Do tell Boss." - T

All of the sudden Knuckles yelled out from inside one of the tents.

"Ay Miles! Help out a little here with the food, will yee?" - K

The fox rolled his eyes as he got up and stretched, going inside the tent. Sonic in the mean time just took a deep sigh, letting out all his problems as he took his hat, and placed it on top of his face as he layed back. A few minutes later the two returned with two trays of hotdogs and buns and a large bowl of chili and a few long and sharp large skewers.

The two placed them down on the ground, placing a hotdog at the end of each skewer, tossing one to Sonic aswell who catches it.

"Are we making what I think we're making?" - So

"Yes Boss, yee favorite! Chilidogs!" - T

At that Sonic's all remaining worries have faded as he placed the hot dog above fire. The night going by with laughter and good apetite. Once the echidna and fox fell asleep, Sonic decided he needs to go for a run to clear his mind.

The sand behind him flew into the air at the impact of his feet touching the ground as he ran, following the moon in the night. Along his run, at some point from the distance he spotted a familiar movement, someone gliding towards him. It was Shadow. The two hit the breaks as they got closer, walking to eachother as Sonic raised his hand mid air.

"Shadow!" - So

Shadow nodded once he was closer in response before looking around, then back at at blue hedgehog.

"Listen here. No matter what you hear, you can't come back to the town. They placed a huge bounty on your head." - Sh

Sonic blinked twice before smirking to himself.

"This is seriously like a Wild West movie." - So

"I'm being serious." - Sh

"Okay okay I won't go. Anyways did you manage to ask for directions?" - So

Shadow at that let out a sigh.

"That's the thing, I found a map but it's completely different than ours." - Sh

Sonic blinked twice as he places his hand under his chin.

"I think we are on another planet." - Sh

Shadow guessed but in response Sonic shook his head.

"No, something far further than that. You are looked at as the Sheriff of the town while I in the other hand am a bandit apparently. I met Knuckles and Tails, they are completely different and they got a heavy accent. Tails also has an attitude for some reason..." - So

Shadow listened to the blue hedgehog as he placed his hand on his waist as he listened with full attention.

"It could be either a shift in reality or..." - Sh

"Another dimension." - So, Sh

Said the two at the same time, Sonic crossing his arms infront of himself after adjusting his hat.

"We can't know for sure what's going on just yet. We will have to dig into this further when we get the opportunity." - So

Shadow nodded and then looked the blue hedgehog up and down.

"I see they got you dressed too." - Sh

"Yeah." - So

"Well either way I must go back, let's meet here again tomorrow." - Sh

Sonic nodded with a smile before bidding a temporary farewell with the other, both of them going back to their own places.
